SharePoint Online - External Sharing, licensing
I need to set up a new tenant mainly for external sharing. If we set up a tenant, with mainly 15 SharePoint Plan 1 licenses and a couple of E1s to manage the tenant, what is the limit on the number of external users we can share with?
Also could we set up employees with external accounts, where they don't have a company email address and don't have any other Office 365 licenses?
Thanks for such a quick reply that's very helpful! Just to clarify, so even with just one E1 license, the number of external users is unlimited?

Christopher,
With an E1 (or any of the E plans) you get unlimited external sharing, so you won't have any limit there.
As far as employees, even if they don't have a company email address you still need to license them. "An external user is someone outside your organization who can access your SharePoint Online sites and documents but does not have a license for your SharePoint Online or Microsoft Office 365 subscription. External users are not employees, contractors, or onsite agents for either you or your affiliates" - https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Share-sites-or-documents-with-people-outside-your-organization-80E49744-E30F-44DB-8D51-16661B1D4232

External Sharing is possible with users of other tenants?
Yes, you can share to any external users of other tenants.
