Did you ever get a response to your question? I am experiencing the same thing.
This error STILL exists in Outlook. The response suggested by cunniaan worked once before for me, but not just recently when I had to add a new email account. When nominating my existing outlook.pst file I immediately got told the file address on my PC was unacceptable as it was a web site. The solution written by cunniaan did not work this last time! (The address is D:\Outlook\outlook.pst - just how Microsoft still thinks this is a web address fails me...)
Surely Microsoft can fix this??
