83 TopicsBookings Page not sending confirmation emails to customers
Hello, I am the main technician for my company's service desk. We have a Bookings page, but any time anyone books a time slot, they receive a message indicating that they will receive a confirmation email, but no email comes to them. In the settings, it shows the checkbox to send a confirmation email is checked. I have also looked in Exchange Admin and run a message trace and cannot find any confirmation email sent to myself or other testers. In Bookings, I have unchecked the confirmation email checkbox, saved, checked, saved, and tested - same result. Additionally, this Bookings page is only for internal users, and all of them are 'customers' with their full organization email address. In researching, I found that there was mention of the Bookings needing to have an Exchange account as a shared mailbox, which I do not believe we have - when I search the email that confirms for me that someone has booked with me, it is a long string of seemingly random letters and numbers with an internal domain address. I have also tried searching in Exchange Admin for 'IT' 'Service Desk' 'Service', and 'Desk', none of which have any results under Mailboxes (which would include shared mailboxes). Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Screenshot:13Views0likes0CommentsMicrosoft Edge Webview icon
I'm I in the right community? My Widgets Icon on my toolbar doesn't open even with the Widgets turned on in the settings. Could you help me? I am the administrator. I have the Edition Windows 11 Home Version, 23H2, with a Windows Feature Experience Pack. I have Windows 11 software and has been updated recently. Everything under Task Manager, details, mswebview.exe is running, however, the window doesn't appear on the home screen. Could this be an easy fix? Does anyone know what the optimal size of Word documents should be if you have multiple word documents open simultaneously? I frequently access two Word documents at are about 800KB each. When I have both open, I notice a significant performance degradation when I do searches, add/modify/delete contact, toggle between the documents. This really impacts my productivity. I am wondering I should reduce the size of these files or move them to a different drive or memory stick to improve performance. I don't want to break these documents up yet given that instead of having two Word documents open, I might have four Word documents open simultaneously and still have the performance issues. I have performed online repairs of Microsoft 365 and checked my addins but nothing seems to help.80Views0likes1CommentIs there no way to allow people to comment on my word document?
I am trying to share something I am working on with beta readers and some friends but the only options are "can edit" or "can view". There is no option for "can comment" or to let them viewers use the review function. I asked for help with the issue and got told that because my account is personal OneDrive and not business that there is no review only feature. Was that a mistake or is Microsoft really this behind on basic features? Google Drive has allowed giving people access with "comment only" for years.Solved266Views1like2CommentsOffice updater logs false “UpdateEnabled not found” warning despite registry compliance
Body: OfficeClickToRun.exe logs the following during scheduled updates: Code UpdateEnabled property not found in registry. Click-to-Run client found. Triggering update... Office update routine completed. However, all relevant registry flags under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\ClickToRun are correctly set (UpdateEnabled, EnableAutomaticUpdates, OfficeAutomaticUpdates, etc. = 1). ProcMon confirms the updater queries this path, yet logs NAME NOT FOUND. Updates still succeed (LastScenarioResult: Success), so this appears to be a cosmetic error from legacy registry validation. It confuses admins and monitoring systems. Ask: Can Microsoft standardize updater checks to avoid false warnings? Is this legacy logic still active in current Office builds?38Views0likes0CommentsWhy is Excel macros sometimes missing ?
I have an excel file with a lot of rectangular shapes showing a tree structure for a family. When the user clicks on one of the rectangulat shapes the 'story' of that person opens up in a Word dokument. BUT ... Most often the macro 'assigned' to the OnAction WONT run - instead this message comes up: The macros is NOT shown when I "show macros" but it IS present in the VBA section when I press alt+F11 ! When it's working it's most often reight after a reboot og the machine - then it maybe works in 10-30 minuts and then the problem is back again ! I HAVE chesked the security setting allowing macros to be activated ! I have tha SAME file running under Window 10 for years WITHOUT any problems !!!! I can see out there that people FOR YEARS have had similar problems with missing macros - but unfortunately I found no solution ! I have two Windows 11 computers connected by WiFi to the same home network. One of them is disconnected from the network every time it wakes up. I click the Stay Connected box, then Connect, and it connects. The next time it goes to sleep and wakes up, Stay Connected is unchecked, and WiFi is disconnected again. The other computer just stays connected as it should. What's going on here? How can I fix it?129Views0likes1CommentFile string limit check
Is there a report that can be run on Sharepoint to show file string size sorted highest to lowest? The issue we are running into is the difference between Sharepoint character limit and Windows Character limit. Out of the box they are different and Sharepoint's string limit is considerably higher. If there was a report, we could get a head of syncing issues.87Views0likes1CommentMicrosoft 365 Companion Apps for Windows 11 A New Way to Stay Productive

I'm trying to set Cisco Jabber to be the default application in Win11 for the tel: protocol, specifically for Excel. The first time I tested this, clicking the link opened correctly in Jabber, but every time afterwards pops open a blank Edge browser. Swapping the default program to Teams or Skype for Business works fine, but breaks again as soon as I swap back to Jabber. The default is correctly listed as Jabber in the registry under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\callto\shell\open\command. The issue seems to be limited to Office, I've tried tel: links in PowerPoint and Word with the same results but trying a link from a web browser correctly opens Jabber. Anyone have any ideas as to what might be going on here?71Views0likes1Comment
