Microsoft Publisher end date.
Here is a novel idea. If Microsoft is going to terminate Publisher in 2026, it would make sense for the programmers of Word to actually create an import function for Publisher files that faithfully creates the file in word. This is the opposite of forcing the end user to find ALL the previous Publisher files and convert them to pdf or Word.

Yes, Microsoft please allow for a seamless import from Publisher to Word. While you are at it, some other very important Publisher features should be programmed into Word. Such as: Scratch pad area on the outside of the page to allow for moving items onto the page or off to the side as needed; Measurement tool that allows for precise placement of text boxes and images; Automatically place images as a box where text is automatically wrapped versus "in-line"; Create labels, postcards, business cards where the template gives you one box and will automatically prints multi items on the page versus in Word where you have to copy and paste into each and every box and them move the images to be where you want because they just land anywhere.
Oh there is SO MANY FEATURES that Word does not have that made Publisher such an awesome program. I am dreading the day when I no longer have Publisher. I keep trying to use Word so I can begin the long tedious job of converting all of our Publisher documents to Word and it is absolutely a nightmare to work with Word as a "publisher" when it just doesn't have the features to do it. I had to create a business card and literally had to copy and paste onto all 10 cards the same image and spend time moving the images to the correct place on all 10 cards. Where is Publisher, I could create one, just one item that then printed on 10 cards. Wasting so much time.....MICROSOFT, PLEASE WAKE UP AND DEAL WITH THIS NOW!!!! Give us what we need now!!!
