Microsoft Places individual desk booking is not working

In our original configuration of Places. we went down the route of configuring individual desks as Workspace resource mailboxes with a capacity of 1.
These work fine, both on the Places Finder and on the map with Places app.
Desk types don't appear for us either. Now it's clear it isn't implemented yet. I was wondering if I'd missed something in the setup.
We’ve created two new desk entities: One that is intended to be bookable which we have linked to a mailbox. The other is non-bookable.
The ‘bookable’ desk is not appearing in the list of available desks, but interestingly, on the map view they show up as red blocks – but you can’t do anything with either of them.
