Inquiry Regarding Microsoft 365 E5 Developer Subscription Renewal
Dear Microsoft Support,
I hope this message finds you well. I am a developer currently enrolled in the Microsoft 365 E5 Developer Subscription program. Recently, I noticed that my subscription has not been automatically renewed, and I am unsure why this has occurred.
Could you please clarify whether the Microsoft 365 E5 Developer plan is still available? If it is, I would appreciate your assistance in investigating why my subscription was not renewed and guidance on how to resolve this issue.
Thank you for your time and support. I look forward to your response.

Why Your Subscription May Not Have Renewed
Renewal of the E5 Developer subscription is activity-based. Microsoft monitors whether the environment is being used for legitimate development purposes. If there's a period of inactivity, the subscription may expire without renewal. Here are some common reasons:
- No recent development activity (e.g., building apps, testing integrations)
- Missed notifications about expiration or renewal windows
- Discrepancies between the Developer Dashboard and Admin Center status
What You Can Do
- Check your Developer Dashboard: It shows your subscription status and expiration date.
- Reactivate during the grace period: If your subscription expired recently, Microsoft typically offers a 30-day grace period before deletion. Resuming development activity during this time may trigger renewal.
