export email (sender/subject/date) in outlook 365 to excel

Hi! Whilst using the outlook thick client I could easily select emails and using the ctrl-c/crtl-v copy/paste into excel however I was unable to achieve it using the outlook 365 webclient. All searches refer me to the file/export option which is no longer available. Any tips please?

Hello Jaybeegee, If you're having trouble copying and pasting emails from the Outlook 365 web client into Excel, and the traditional Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V method doesn't seem to work as expected, you can try an alternative method: 1. **Drag and Drop:** - Open your Outlook 365 web client and go to the email you want to copy. - Open Excel in a separate window or tab. - Drag the email(s) from Outlook and drop them into the desired location in Excel. 2. **Save as CSV:** - Open the email in Outlook 365 web client. - Click on "More actions" (three dots) in the upper-right corner of the email. - Choose "Save as" and select "CSV" as the file format. - Save the CSV file on your computer. - Open the CSV file with Excel. 3. **Use Microsoft Flow (Power Automate):** - Create a flow using Microsoft Flow (Power Automate) to automatically copy emails from Outlook to Excel. This involves setting up a flow to trigger when a new email arrives and then add the relevant information to an Excel file. It's worth noting that the direct copy-paste functionality might vary based on the specific version and updates of Outlook 365 web client. If you continue to face difficulties, consider checking for any updates to the web client or reaching out to Microsoft support for assistance. Remember, the exact steps might differ slightly based on your version of Outlook 365 web client and the web browser you are using. If these alternatives don't address your needs, providing additional details about your setup could help in offering more precise assistance. Have a Fantastic day Jaybeegee

ProSolutions  thanks for your reply. I have tried selecting the emails and dragging them into excel but it is not working and I get the crossed out circle when I hover over excel! Did it work for you?!

hi there! I do not think you understood my issue which involves selecting a bunch of emails and copying them into excel where I will get the details of the sender/subject/date as they appear in outlook into excel. So it will look something like this where Mailbox is a field I manually update as do the same for Sent, etc.

      Mailbox To Subject Sent
      Inbox sender1 subject1 15/11/2023
      Inbox sender2 subject2 15/11/2023
      Inbox sender3 subject3 15/11/2023
      Inbox sender4 subject4 15/11/2023
      Inbox sender5 subject5 16/11/2023
      Inbox sender6 subject6 16/11/2023
