outlook on the web
102 TopicsOutlook Inbox not updating
Hello, when using the Mail & Calender App on Win 10, everything works fine. But now Windows forces me to use the new Outlook App. When using Outlook my Inbox is not updating, it shows me 2 months old mails on top of the list. Same goes for using the web version outlook.com. My inbox is not updating even though I get new mails everyday. I have to search new mails by using the search bar. I tried to do some research and found blog and forum posts about deleting the Outlook cache. I tried it, I could't find the folder so I went and deinstalled Outlook and installed the old Mail App. Everything worked fine for 2 days. I received new mails like I should. But then again I got forced to move to the new Outlook App. Now it shows me my 2 months old Mails again. What confuses me is why the web version is not working correctly too? My local cache files shouldn't have any influence on the web version. Anybody here that can help me? Thanks in advance.Solved167KViews1like12CommentsInformation about incoming mails to another address
I am looking for a method or addin (also for a fee) to send information to another mailbox when a mail is received in an M365 mailbox. Neither the mail nor the subject should be forwarded. It is only about the information ("new mail in the mailbox email address removed for privacy reasons") I thought there was an option in the rules in the new Outlook M365 to select ‘Notify’ for actions. But it seems, there ist only forward and redirect. Best regards Thorsten44Views0likes4CommentsDrag & Drop emails into the Calendar icon and My Days to create Tasks and Events
An exciting new feature in Outlook is set to boost your productivity. Users can now create events effortlessly by dragging and dropping emails directly onto the Calendar icon in the left app bar of Microsoft Outlook. Similarly, tasks can be added to the MyDay panel using the same intuitive drag-and-drop method. This streamlined approach simplifies organizing your schedule and managing tasks, making your workflow more efficient and enjoyable. #Outlook #ToDo #Microsoft365 #MPVbuzz #MicrosoftOutlook53Views0likes0CommentsStop resource room/mailbox on deleting meeting invites and keep the auto-accept functionality

Hey community, I want to build a software that would automatically process incoming emails (using an LLM) from an outlook inbox and perform tasks, like forwarding the email to another inbox, or enriching the email body text with data from a CRM. The software should be easy to integrate into new organisations, so I was looking at building an outlook extensions. But i could not find any triggers that would work on any incoming email. I've looked at the Microsoft documentation for autolaunch add-ins: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office/dev/add-ins/outlook/autolaunch But I have seen that I could create a email subscription with the microsoft REST API https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/api/subscription-post-subscriptions?view=graph-rest-1.0&tabs=http#request I also discovered this blog post that revolved around a similar problem https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/discussions/microsoft-365/trigger-api-from-received-email/3906340 The suggested solution includes using microsoft power automate, but I would like my solution to work without any additional subscriptions. So my question is, what are the best API's to develop my software. It should be easy to install it on every machine of employees of a client company (like installing the outlook add-on) and analyse the content of the email automatically to then perform some actions, like adding text to the body of an email. Thanks for any advice in advance :)47Views0likes2CommentsNew burst of OBVIOUS Junk mail evading Outlook filters
Within the last month, I began to receive 10+ obvious junk mails in my 365 Outlook Family / live.com inbox every day. MSFT help was UNhelpful (e.g., 'whack a mole' by reporting each, set strict filters that route needed emails to Junk folder, etc.). FWIW, I use a VPN, don't post on social media and send/receive <30 emails/day. Are MSFT's talented resources (PhD's, engineers, AI, etc.) engaged in tuning filters to block the crap shown below? I would hope that MSFT understands that minimizing frustrating experiences for users of a fundamental tool like email is essential to maintaining customer satisfaction and loyalty. I'd rather have them spend more to provide a (nearly) junk free inbox - even it means fewer new features in Outlook. I hope that MSFT can address this new surge of Junk bypassing its filters. We would like to experiment with using the SharePoint Online Web part that allows you to display a group calendar on a SharePoint Online page. Our idea is to use a Viva Engage community as a means to create that group calendar so that the features of a community can also be used for this scenario. I assumed that it worked similarly to Microsoft Teams whereas along as the "HiddenFromExchangeClientsEnabled" property is FALSE for the connected group, that either all community admins/members would see the group calendar show up in Outlook automatically OR you could manually add the calendar in your calendar lists in Outlook. Neither seem to be the case. What's interesting about the group that connects to a Viva Engage community is the ""HiddenFromExchangeClientsEnabled" property is FALSE by default. However, the group calendar does not appear in Outlook. As a community admin, I tried to manually add the calendar and I get an error message "Couldn't add [group]. You may not have permissions". Does anyone know why I'm running into that error and/or why the group mailbox is not showing up in Outlook by default since the property states that it is not hidden? Is it not possible to view Viva Engage group calendars in Outlook? Thanks!702Views0likes2CommentsOutlook scheduling poll can't be viewed
Hello, until recently, after sending a scheduling poll via outlook, the poll could be viewed by clicking the "view poll" button from the mail i sent. for a few weeks now, clicking this link sents me straight to the outlook web app after request me to log in, even though im logged in already. I can't find any way to view my ongoing polls or review a specific poll and send a date other than using the link from the mails the tool sends me whenever someone votes. This change occoured roughly 3 weeks ago and makes the tool currently unusable for me. Some help would be reallyappriciated.191Views0likes0Comments
