Outlook Web sends emails in my organization using the ISO-8859-1 character set. However, Copilot claims: "Outlook Web (Outlook on the Web, OWA) does not generate your messages in ISO-8859-1. It always uses UTF-8." My Outlook Web only switches to the UTF-8 character set if the email contains Unicode characters that cannot be displayed in ISO-8859-1. How can I enforce UTF-8 globally for my organization?52Views0likes1CommentShortcuts appearing when using Option+arrow in Outlook on Chrome in Mac
luse Outlook on Chrome in my MacBook Pro. While typing an email, though, if I use Option tarrow left or right (to go back or forth between words), after a few words, the shortcut letters for the menus pop up, and stop what I'm doing. (See image.) It doesn't happen in any other window on Chrome. So it's not a Chrome thing. It's only when Outlook 365 is loaded. (Don't know if it happens in other 365 apps, as I only use Outlook, really.) Anyone experienced that? And, if so, is there a solution? I tried Outlook 365's setting, but nothing there. Hi, (Outlook for the web) I wondered if anyone has experienced this and knows of any way to resolve it. One of my users is reporting that (and I have seen it) new replies are not being "flagged" with the reply icon in the message list. This appears to happen regardless of whether the email is in the inbox or a subfolder. Older emails (that have been replied-to or forwarded prior to today) are showing the relevant icons to indicate that a reply has been sent and it only appears to be affecting new replies/forwards. I've been through all the view settings in and nothing helps. I even tried crazy things like changing themes. This doesn't appear to be consistent across tenants either. I've seen 1 tenant with it working and another with it not working. Regards, Paul9.6KViews0likes9CommentsSync Issues with Tracking Meetings from Outlook to Dynamics 365
Hello, my work uses the Dynamic 365 App for Outlook to track meetings as appointments in Dynamics 365, but it has failed several times for several users (on both Mac and Windows, in Old and New Outlook and on web browsers); some meetings will fail to track immediately while in some cases, meetings that were successfully tracked will stopped working and are no longer tracked in Dynamics. In the spoiler below is a sanitized version of the diagnostic log for meetings that used to be tracked that stopped working: In the log, we have the following error message: "lastsyncerror": "ExchangeSyncGeneralCrmItemSyncError;Microsoft.Crm.Asynchronous.EmailConnector.ErrorSource.Crm:130;T:188\r\nActivityId: [Removed]\r\n>Exception : Microsoft.Crm.Asynchronous.EmailConnector.ExchangeSyncException: Failed to sync item to CRM server : System.ServiceModel.FaultException`1[Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.OrganizationServiceFault]: There is no active transaction. This error is usually caused by custom plug-ins that ignore errors from service calls and continue processing. at System.Runtime.Remoting.Proxies.RealProxy.HandleReturnMessage(IMessage reqMsg, IMessage retMsg) +0x27 at System.Runtime.Remoting.Proxies.RealProxy.PrivateInvoke(MessageData& msgData, Int32 type) +0x1ba at Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.IOrganizationService.Execute(OrganizationRequest request) at Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.WebServiceClient.WebProxyClient`1.ExecuteAction[TResult](Func`1 action) +0x15 at CrmSDKLib.OrganizationServiceWrapper.<>c__DisplayClass10_0.<Execute>b__0() in C:\\__w\\1\\s\\src\\lib\\CrmSDK\\OrganizationServiceWrapper.cs:line 13..." In Outlook, when I look at these meetings and check the app it gives the message: Recurring appointment occurrence cannot be tracked However, we have other series of recurring meetings that have been successfully tracked that does not run into the issue. Anyone has encountered this or similar issue? How do we resolve this so going forward the app can track all meetings without issue? Please let me know, thank you!125Views0likes2CommentsOutlook Web App - Move to no longer moves focus to the search box
Hi, I'm requesting a change back to a previous behavior in Outlook Web App for the "Move to" button. Previously, I could click this button and the small search box was selected as text focus. This means I could click once and then type the name of a folder to which I could move that email. Now, clicking the "Move to" button shows the list of recent folders, but does not move the cursor into the search box. Thus, it requires an additional click to search for a folder. The previous workflow is more efficient and please consider reverting to that behavior! -MMSolved2KViews5likes6CommentsCan't add Viva Engage community calendar to Outlook
We would like to experiment with using the SharePoint Online Web part that allows you to display a group calendar on a SharePoint Online page. Our idea is to use a Viva Engage community as a means to create that group calendar so that the features of a community can also be used for this scenario. I assumed that it worked similarly to Microsoft Teams whereas along as the "HiddenFromExchangeClientsEnabled" property is FALSE for the connected group, that either all community admins/members would see the group calendar show up in Outlook automatically OR you could manually add the calendar in your calendar lists in Outlook. Neither seem to be the case. What's interesting about the group that connects to a Viva Engage community is the ""HiddenFromExchangeClientsEnabled" property is FALSE by default. However, the group calendar does not appear in Outlook. As a community admin, I tried to manually add the calendar and I get an error message "Couldn't add [group]. You may not have permissions". Does anyone know why I'm running into that error and/or why the group mailbox is not showing up in Outlook by default since the property states that it is not hidden? Is it not possible to view Viva Engage group calendars in Outlook? Thanks!1.1KViews1like3CommentsReplying to emails from M365 Outlook group
A problem I am stumped with, so I am reaching out for some help/guidance. One group wants to not have the emails going into their own inbox but manage and reply only from the group inbox itself (so they know the email has been processed by deleting it once replied). It worked OK to begin with and then some users couldn't reply, then more. Some still can. I have tried reindexing local copy, using browser instead of app & changing the send on behalf of permissions. Owner or member of group doesn't seem to make a difference. Error messages include "This message can't be sent because it no longer exists. It can only be discarded. Make sure you copy the contents of the message before you discard if you want to use them later." and "Couldn't send this message". Please see screenshots attached. My questions: 1: Is Outlook on M365 designed to allow users to reply from the group either as the "group" or as themselves? Information I found isn't clear. 2: If it is / can be - what can I do to make it work for all users? Thanks!400Views0likes2CommentsIntegrating Microsoft Groups and Team Channels
We have a Shared Inbox called mailto:email address removed for privacy reasons that is shared with me and a member of the company. I'd like to convert this into a Microsoft Group to use it internally in Teams Chat and receive emails in Outlook under the Groups section. I'd also like to create a channel where all the files we want to share are available inside Teams. So, is there a way to integrate a group as a channel in Teams, or is there a different approach?154Views0likes1CommentOutlook for Mac - Upload and Share is not working as access "Recipients of this message" is missing
New Outlook for Mac has since some versions back gotten the feature where the user can upload a file and share it to the recipients of the e-mail. The file will be per default be uploaded to DOWNLOAD folder in OneDrive. Now this is not working on Outlook for Mac as the whole access permission Recipients of this message" is missing. On Windows and Outlook on Web, this is available, but not for New Outlook for Mac. It seems that this feature is not yet fully developed on Outlook for Mac. Any others that see the same and can confirm?147Views1like2CommentsEffortless Time Tracking in Teams, Outlook and M365 Copilot
