Effect of UPN change on sharing links
Hi all.
I have seen elsewhere that changing a user's UPN does not remove their access to content in OD4B etc.
But I can't find any reference to effect on shared links.
If a user has shared links to her files in OD4B or SharePoint with users in other tenants and we then change her UPN, will the other tenant users still have access to the files?
Similarly, if users in other tenants have shared links to their files specifically with our user, will her access be preserved after the UPN change?
Yes, Mary's previously shared files will not be accessible by others within tenant and outside tenant as URL of shared files have changed because the UPN changed. Others shared files to Mary can still be accessible by her as these didn't changed.

If a user's UPN was changed, OneDrive for Business URL will also changed. With this changes, shared links and files of a user in other tenants will not be accessible because the URL when the files were shared are already invalid. So, files need to be shared again after UPN changes take effect.

Thanks for the quick response Aljohn.
Just to be clear, if the user who has her UPN changed is Mary, are you saying the files that Mary has previously shared will not be accessible by others, or she will not be able to access files that others have previously shared with her, or both.
Will the same be true both within Mary's tenant and between tenants?
