Does the OneDrive admin centre settings override the retention policy in the security and compliance

Hello Guys,

so i have created a Retention policy on security and compliance to permanently retain users documents.

However there is a default retention policy on my OneDrive Admin center that stores deleted users document for a year.

However the year is up and im getting notification that users OneDrive account will be deleted.

Any idea what this means
