365 App Sign in & Edit Issues
Hello, I am attempting to edit a word document saved on OneDrive. I have the 365 app. The document opens and states I cannot edit unless I sign in. When clicking to sign it, it then states it cannot put my personal email (which is what the subscription is under) I need to put a work or school email and if it doesn't work then to contact said work or school. However, my subscription is my personal email and I am logged into the app with my personal email. I'm confused and need support please!
Exact wording opening document:
"This account does not allow editing on your device. For an account with full access, contact your organizational out your subscription plan"
**For reference: I have frequently used my android phone for editing documents
Exact wording when signing in:
"We couldn't find a work or school account with that email address"

Try below before contact Microsoft Support:
- Check Your Subscription: Ensure that your Microsoft 365 subscription is active and associated with your personal email. Sometimes, issues can arise if the subscription has expired or if there's a problem with the account.
- Sign Out and Sign In Again: Try signing out of the Microsoft 365 app on your device and then signing back in with your personal email. This can sometimes resolve account-related issues.
- Clear Cache: Clear the cache of the Microsoft 365 app on your device. This can help resolve any temporary issues that might be causing the problem.
- Use Office for the Web: If the issue persists, try editing the document using Office for the web. You can access it by logging into OneDrive with your personal email and opening the document from there.

Thank you so much. I started getting this error in the Excel Android app on my phone only in the last few days. I've installed the "Microsoft 365 Copilot" app (note the change of app name), in which I can view and edit my Excel files again.
