Confirming a Marketplace purchase counts toward an Azure commitment
You need to establish both eligibility before purchase and actual MACC consumption afterwards; the Azure benefit badge alone does not prove that a particular transaction reduced the customer's commitment. Check the exact offer, confirm that the customer's commitment is active, and complete the eligible purchase through Azure using a subscription associated with that agreement. Purchases outside the qualifying Azure checkout route should not be assumed eligible. Azure prepayment is also different from MACC and cannot simply be treated as Marketplace purchasing credit. After invoicing, ask an authorized customer billing administrator to review the commitment in Cost Management and Billing and reconcile the transaction against the remaining commitment. Being the reseller does not automatically grant access to that customer billing view. Retain the offer, subscription, order and invoice details, and escalate discrepancies through the customer's Microsoft account or billing support team.
