Mar 19, 2025New MCT Category: End User Qualification - Now Available to TSPs
Hi all,
Our MCT team has launched a pilot program for a new MCT category called End User Qualification. This is in response to feedback we've received regarding the reduced level of technical skills required to teach our Copilot end user courses. This new status provides an easier path for trainers who are not currently MCTs to meet the requirements to deliver select Copilot courses. This has no impact on current MCTs.
Trainers who have completed the AI-900 certification as well as the Instructional Skills Certificate Provider (ISCP) program are permitted to apply, but must be working for a TSP to qualify.
Once accepted, the End User Qualification MCTs will be permitted to teach the following: AI-3017, AI-3025, MS-4004, MS-4005, MS-4008, MS-4012, MS-4018, MS-4019, and MS-4023.
Deadline for completing End User Qualification onboarding is April 30, 2025. For more information, please see the attached FAQ. Please let me know if you have any questions.

If we have a trainer who is delivering a MS-4004 or MS-4005 prior to 31st March but doesn't yet have their MCT End User Qualification yet, can they deliver this course? We have the trainer organized to complete the steps including the AI-900 certification & ISCP, but this is not yet complete. And we had a planned delivery for them on Friday 28th April25

Yes. The waiver was extended until April 30th.

That's good news, but quite frankly, setting the deadline for April 30 leaves too little time to get everything in order.
Additionally, the AI-900 certification requires technical skills that are not necessary for delivering Microsoft 365 Copilot training aimed at business users.- DanDonohue

Appreciate the feedback baumaille. We'll keep an eye on progress to determine if any tweaks need to be made.
As for AI-900, we still need to ensure we have qualified applicants for the MCT program. We feel that AI-900 (as well as the ISCP approval) is a good bar for trainers to meet to get this new End-User status.

Is that means existing MCTs are qualifying automatically?

Microsoft
Correct. Any Microsoft ILT Courseware in the LDC that does not have a certification or credential associated current Technical MCTs can deliver.
