Microsoft Training Services Partner Designation – Courseware & Completion Tracking Guidance Needed

Hi everyone,

I am are currently exploring the process of achieving the Microsoft Training Services designation and would appreciate guidance from those who have already gone through this journey.

Based on my understanding, courseware completions and related requirements appear to be key steps in achieving this designation. I would like to confirm if this is accurate and get clarity on the most efficient path forward.

Specifically, I am looking for insights on the following:

Courseware Requirements

1. Which official courses are required, and how are they typically delivered?

Access to Training Materials

2. Is there a specific portal or program through which Microsoft-approved courseware can be obtained?

Tracking Completions

3. How are course completions tracked and reflected within the partner account?

Post-Training Process

4. What is the process for issuing achievement codes and conducting official post-training surveys (such as Metrics That Matter)?

Any guidance, shared experiences, or recommended best practices would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

Thank you for your valuable feedback,

I have created a class and assigned the MCT in MTM for the course Introduction to AI in Azure (AI-901T00).

So far, the following steps have been completed:

    1. Created the course URL using the Courseware Title Plan with our MPN Location ID

    2. Requested and noted the achievement codes for the two learning paths associated with AI-901T00

    3. Assigned the MCT to the class in MTM

From the learner perspective, could you please confirm the next steps and whether our understanding of the process is correct?

Our current understanding is as follows:

    * The MCT shares the course URL with the learners and delivers the training sessions (offline/instructor-led).

    * Learners complete the required learning paths through the provided course URL.

    * After completing the learning paths, learners redeem the corresponding achievement codes for each  learning path related to AI-901T00.

    * The MCT then shares the MTM survey link with the learners to complete the post-training survey.

    * The courseware points/KPIs for the partner are then tracked accordingly.

Could you also please clarify the following:

    * Is it mandatory for learners to attend and pass the certification exam in order for the partner to receive the courseware/KPI points (0.5 points for this course)?

    * Is the above process the correct approach for starting and tracking the TSP KPI requirements?

    * Is there any additional configuration, reporting step, learner action, or validation process that we may have missed?

Your guidance on the correct end-to-end process would be greatly appreciated.

      Already answered this before

      * Is it mandatory for learners to attend and pass the certification exam in order for the partner to receive the courseware/KPI points (0.5 points for this course)?

Yes they have to attend the course but there is no requirement to sit or even pass the exam

      * Is the above process the correct approach for starting and tracking the TSP KPI requirements?

All you need is learners to complete MTM survey and redeem Achievement codes

      * Is there any additional configuration, reporting step, learner action, or validation process that we may have missed?

      No

    Dear,

Thank you for your valuable feedback and support.

Could you please provide me a step-by-step guidance on how to proceed with the KPIs and training delivery process  for Microsoft Training Services,

So far, we have completed the following:

    *Created the Learn Admin account

*Created the Pearson account for voucher purchases

*Created the Metrics That Matter (MTM) account for surveys

*Assigned an MCT in MTM for a course

*Created the course link using the Courseware Title Plan for learners

At this stage, we would appreciate clarification on the next steps and the correct workflow for delivering courses to learners and ensuring the KPIs are properly tracked and achieved.

Specifically, we would like to understand:

*How should learners access and complete the course?

*Should learners simply access the shared course link, complete the training, and redeem the achievement   code?

*Do learners need to select or associate the instructor through Microsoft Learn?

*What is the recommended and correct delivery approach to ensure learner completion, survey tracking,   and KPI eligibility under the Training Services Partner program?

Your guidance on the proper end-to-end process would be greatly appreciated

*How should learners access and complete the course?

Through Microsoft Learn, the trainer prep guide for each course contains the links to the learning paths for the course. The instructor (MCT) provides those links at the beginning of the course.

*Should learners simply access the shared course link, complete the training, and redeem the achievement   code?

There is no shared course link. Delegates redeem the achievement code on the last day of the course

*Do learners need to select or associate the instructor through Microsoft Learn?

No, you as a TSP select an MCT to deliver the class. In MTM you associate the MCT with the class.

*What is the recommended and correct delivery approach to ensure learner completion, survey tracking,   and KPI eligibility under the Training Services Partner program?

The MCT on the last day of the course provides the links to the MTM feedback form and the Achievement Code

  • Hi Hamras

    1. Please review program documentation in the Get Started collection. The list of courseware is part of our Title Plan document that is updated weekly on the ILT Comms blog. Note that courses often have required labs that you would procure from one of our Authorized Lab Hosters (more details on ALHs in the Get Started collection.
    2. Courseware is obtained through Microsoft Learn and is publicly available. Trainer materials are reserved for MCTs as they are the only individuals permitted to deliver official Microsoft training.
    3. Course completions are tracked via redemption of the Achievement Code provided to every student taking your official Microsoft course. Those values are reflected in your Partner Center Training Services Partner dashboard. The dashboard is updated once per month, to reflect the prior completed month. The next refresh will be in mid-April for data through March.
    4. Achievement Code and MTM survey information is in the Get Started collection

If you have any further questions after you review the materials, please let me know.

      Dear DanDonohue

Thank you for your response and for sharing the courseware details.

I would like to clarify my understanding: to obtain the courseware points, we can deliver the courses listed under the courseware title plan right? That means we can use the existing courses available on the Microsoft Learn platform, or is it mandatory to create custom course content from scratch for this requirement?

As I am new to the Training Services Partnership program, I would appreciate your guidance on this process.

The courses are are listed on the Courseware Title Plan and are the courseware is available to MCTs on the Learning Download Center.

You should not be created your own content.
