D365 FO IUR - legacy benefits
Dear Community
We have been using a D365 Finance instance since 2019 as IUR. As from my understanding, from the old silver/gold ERP competency. Since we bought the legacy benefits this summer, I assumed we‘ll get the D365 instance extended as well. But know I have to learn, that this is not included in the legacy benefits and our subscription will run out in one month. We‘d have to buy the subscriptions - really funny, we can not even use the software internally that we are selling/implementing at our customers? I know, we could get the Business Applications Designation - but for a partner with 20 employees, there is no chance to reach this (maybe for one year, but not a couple of years consecutively).
Any ideas on this one?
cheers
Daniel

Thank you for your patience.
I escalated this inquiry, and the response is as follows:
"Whatever benefits were included previously should still be included. There have been no changes to the legacy competency benefit kits. If a partner is missing a benefit, they should contact support. "

This reply from the escalation team is wrong unfortunately. I also escalated this topic at my Microsoft contacts and received the following reply: "[...] the benefit 'Microsoft financial and supply chain management solution of choice' was entirely removed from the benefits provided to Legacy [ERP] memberships."
This confirms my previous reply that Microsoft did make changes to the Legacy Competency Benefits kit specifically for ERP Competency, and actually removed the D365 F&O licenses from that Competency.
So a change has been made and ERP Legacy Competency partners will lose their D365 F&O licenses, even though all other documentation states that partners will retain their Legacy Benefits if they renew their Legacy Competency.
Making this comment very misleading, as shows by the partner logging this topic in this community: "You will continue to receive legacy benefits (benefits you received based on the competency you held on September 30, 2022), for legacy competencies [...]"

I communicated your reply to my escalation and was told that you will still need to contact support. Therefore, I do not have additional information for you on this subject unfortunately.

axperience_gra Hoping other partners will chime in with their input.

JillArmour why do we have these communities if nobody from Microsoft side cares?! Sorry, but this is so frustrating

Your post included the documentation about competency and benefits, and was addressed to the community...you also asked for input and/or thoughts, which I interpreted as you asking fellow Partners to chime in. Since I'm not a partner, I don't utilize the benefits, so I have no alternative ideas.
There are 118 views, so others are acknowledging and viewing your post. I'm confident that if other Partners have input, they'll certainly respond .
You've mentioned that you understand the latest info on silver/gold benefits, so please clarify if you have a specific question about the terms, licensing, or other benefits and I'm happy to provide clarification and/or guidance.
