What is one must-have intune policy you always deploy to windows 365 Cloud PCs ?
I'm getting deeper into managing Windows 365 Cloud PCs with intune and I'm trying to build out a solid baseline for policy deployment. I know there's a lot that can be configured via intune, from security baselines to user experience tweaks. Do you use for hardening security, streamlining login times, restricting certains apps, enabling Bitlocker or enforcing windows updates ? Have you had any conflict with other policies ? Does it differ from what you push to physical endpionts ?SolvedTovarAug 07, 2025Iron Contributor116Views7likes2CommentsSession lock experience configuration for single sign-on
This feature was apparently released today according to the linked What's new in W365 site, but I cannot find this feature in my tenant. My Intune is at service release 2408. Does anyone have information on how to enable this feature? You can now configure the remote session lock experience when single sign-on is enabled between the default disconnect behavior and showing the remote lock screen. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-365/enterprise/whats-new#session-lock-experience-configuration-for-single-sign-onSolvedjohnjjohnAug 28, 2024Iron Contributor723Views1like1CommentBest way to access Windows 365 Cloud PC from Mac?
Looking to find the best way to access a Windows 365 Cloud PC from a Mac. Clearly, I can access it by logging into the browser and running it there, but is there any way to use the Microsoft Remote Desktop for Mac app to make the connection more "native" to the Mac OS environment? Any other thoughts would be welcomed as well. Thank you,SolvednorthamericanDec 13, 2023Copper Contributor25KViews0likes6CommentsUpgrade License for a Cloud PC
I have a Cloud PC originally provisioned with the "Windows 365 Enterprise 1 vCPU, 2 GB, 64 GB" license. This Cloud PC has been used and has configuration modifications to it and data associated with it. We have now purchased new licenses such as "Windows 365 Enterprise 2 vCPU, 8 GB, 128 GB" and I would like to "upgrade" that Cloud PC to have the higher specs offered by the new license without losing any of the custom configuration of the existing Cloud PC. However it seems you cannot do this as if you had the new license to that user you get an offer to log into this 2nd Cloud PC with the old one still being there and if you remove the old license the original Cloud PC is put into "Grace" mode and will be removed after a week. I could attempt to "Resize" the old PC but am wary that if that does work I am now using a Cloud PC configuration I am not licensed for. What is the Cloud PC equivalent of opening up a PC case and adding more memory and disk, not to mention the processor? The key point is not losing that personalized configuration the user has set for themself (background, custom mouse pointer etc) nor the data they have store in their Documents folder and so onSolvedstuart-hunterOct 09, 2023Copper Contributor2.9KViews0likes2CommentsHow can I email or call support for a direct (onmicrosoft.com) subscription?
I lost our Microsoft Authenticator factor for the admin account of our self-service Windows 365 subscription that's directly with Microsoft (onmicrosoft.com), and there aren't any other ways to sign in. Everything I can find online directs me to contact support from the admin dashboard—which I can't access because I can't sign in. It's extremely frustrating that Microsoft doesn't make it easy to contact support in this case. Thanks in advance if anyone can point me in the right direction!SolvedtightropeAug 07, 2023Copper Contributor2.7KViews0likes7CommentsWindows 365 Enterprise promotion for M365 BP customers
Is there an error in the Global Promo Readiness Guide regarding the Windows 365 Enterprise promotion? In the Global Guide it is listed that only Monthly subscriptions are eligible. In the full promo FAQ it is listed that only Annual subscriptions are eligible for the promo. Which one is it? Hello, I would like to join various devices into the AAD. However, there are still various devices with Windows Home instead of Pro. Is there an easy way to upgrade the versions to Pro without having to buy an extra Pro version? In AD there will be a Windows Business/Enterprise license for each user. Hi there Everyone, First time posting. My company just spun up Windows365 and the company we were working with, wasn't able to pinpoint or sort out why the Provisioning policy didn't show a place for us to change the naming policy of our VPC's. I'm a windows 365 Admin, Intune Admin, and our Global Admin also tried to create a provisioning policy and same thing below. We signed out and did the usual gammet, however this is a head scratcher. Anyone see this or know where to point me on this one?SolvedLynsterApr 10, 2023Copper Contributor1.2KViews0likes3CommentsUnable to access Windows 365 settings in Endpoint Manager Admin Center
Dear community, I am having an issue accessing the Windows 365 settings in the Endpoint Manager Admin Center. When I follow the guide provided by Microsoft (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-365/enterprise/assign-users-as-local-admin), I am unable to access the menu items due to a blocking banner. I have tried clicking the cross icon on the banner, but it takes me back to the home page (https://endpoint.microsoft.com/?ref=AdminCenter#home). Is anyone else facing this issue? Is there any workaround? I have contacted Microsoft support regarding this issue 2 weeks ago, but I haven't received any answer yet. I would greatly appreciate any help or guidance on how to resolve this issue. Best regards, TobiasSolvedCowboy67Jan 30, 2023Copper Contributor8.3KViews0likes12Comments
