SCVMM 2025 can't deploy Service Templates to Win2025 guest VMs.
I recently upgraded my SCVMM 2022 instance to 2025. I have a few Service Templates for lab/test purposes that expedite deployments such as installing the first DC in a new AD forest. I wanted to upgrade these Service Templates to work with Win2025 guest VMs so I built a new syspreped Windows Server 2025 image, and copied my "New Forest DC" Service Template so it could utilize a Win2025 guest. After a lot of troubleshooting, I found that SCVMM 2025 seems to fail to be able to configure a Win2025 guest. I originally thought there may be an issue with my Application Confg scripts that install the ADDS role and install the first DC. However, after removing those scripts and just trying to install Rolls and Features under the OS Configuration options, they appear to fail as well. Has anyone had any success deploying a Service Template with Win2025 guests VMs? Simple test to try to reproduce: Create a syspreped image .VHDK file with Windows Server 2025 (I've tested with both Gen2 and Gen1) Create a Service Template to deploy one guest VM Machine Tier. Add a few Windows Roles and Features (I'm adding ADDS, DNS, GPMC and the management tools) Example screenshot below. Deploy the service. For me, the VM deploys properly but the Service Template eventually fails and no roles are installed as it hangs on the deploy applications task. (2nd screenshot below). This works just fine with a Windows Server 2022 image. Can anyone else reproduce this? Did I miss something that is needed in the guest image? Thanks in advance.Solved642Views0likes4CommentsSystem Center 2025 - Product Eval links seem broken
Hello - I've been eagerly awaiting the arrival of system center 2025. The product should have RTM-ed nov 1 and indeed, the product pages are all in place and up to date. The evaluation website allows a user (at least for me) to get through the info gathering page and on to the download links. This is where my Saturday morning took a turn (yup, I'm up just for this early). I digress -- the following links seem broken, has anyone been able to get the latest version downloaded? This page works but the d/l links do not: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/download-system-center-2025 any help, alternate locations to obtain these installers, etc would be greatly appreciated.Solved294Views1like2CommentsSystem Center Orchestrator 2022 - VmWare Vsphere Integration Pack

I'm putting together a new server, with Windows Server 2022, SQL 2019 and DPM 2022. I'm at the point of adding storage but I'm running into an issue with DPM "seeing" the storage. It's configured with... Mirrored disk for OS. 3 Disks (Raid 5) for DPM I've tried all sorts of ways... Create the Raid and not initialize. Create the Raid and initialize, leave unallocated. Both with MBR and GPT. Both basic and dynamic. Nothing works. Right now, my only guess is that all the physical drives are on the same controller channel. Would this be a problem? In disk manager, it shows as 2 different disks. I've used the first few versions of DPM, when they first came out. It looks like not much has changed. But maybe I'm doing something wrong. Hi, everything else with the 2002 upgrade appears to be fine however our CMG is now broken. There were no issues with it prior to the upgrade. All CMG clients show as "Device online from internet - True", "Device Online Status - Offline" we have around 200 clients regularly connected via CMG. CMG is listed with a status of "Ready" and status description of "Configuration update completed", however if I run the connection analyser it fails on the last step "Testing the CMG channel for Management point:OURInternalMECMServer.fqdn" The description is "Failed to get ConfigMgr token with Azure AD token. Status code is '500' and status description is 'CMGService_No_Connector'. A possible reason for this failure is the CMG service failed to forward the message to the CMG connection point. There is no CMG connection point that is connecting to the CMG service. For more information, see the SMS_CLOUD_PROXYCONNECTOR.log on the CMG connection point." I have tried stopping and restarting the service. no change. Cloud engineers informed me that when I upgraded the azure resource was locked but only with do not delete lock so don't believe that should have been an issue, but had them remove the lock while I restarted the service to see if anything kicked in, nothing changed. SMS_Cloud_Proxyconnector.log has clusters of these warnings starting when the upgrade happened. "ERROR: Failed to handle response from server. Cound be intermittent network issue. Exception: System.Net.WebException: The request was aborted: The request was canceled.~~ at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.EndGetResponse(IAsyncResult asyncResult)~~ at Microsoft.ConfigurationManager.CloudConnection.ProxyConnector.HttpConnection.HandleResponseCallback(IAsyncResult asynchronousResult, Int32& statusCode, Byte[]& payload)~~ at Microsoft.ConfigurationManager.CloudConnection.ProxyConnector.ConnectionBase.ResponseCallBack(IAsyncResult asynchronousResult)" Cloudmgr.log is error free, everything in there looks functional. CMG-ourcmgname-ProxyService_In_0-CMGService.log is full of "WARNING: There is no proxy connector connected to forward the message" and the occasional message like "ERROR: The HTTP client 203.24.71.17:41062 sends invalid request. Exception: System.IO.InvalidDataException: Disconnected client sending message~~ at Microsoft.ConfigurationManager.BgbServerChannel.BgbHttpListener.ReceiveMessage(String connectionId, String clientCert, BgbMessageType messageType, UInt16 messageMajorVersion, UInt16 messageMinorVersion, String header, String body, Byte[] bodyBuffer, HttpListenerContext context)~~ at Microsoft.ConfigurationManager.BgbServerChannel.BgbHttpListener.listenerCallback(IAsyncResult result)" Are there changes required for the CMG after you upgrade to 2002 if it was working prior to the upgrade? our machines are azure AD joined. internal machines are receiving he new client, however none on CMG have updated. the client package shows under content for the CMG DP. Our Cloud Engineers restarted CMG, no change. I'm running out of ideas, anybody have any thoughts on what I can do next?Solved19KViews0likes1CommentSCO running Runbook gets orphanded after 2 to 3 Minutes and initiates the runbook new

We have a new ASHCI 22H2 cluster that was working absolutely fine with RDMA until we brought it into our SCVMM22 environment. Hi, We are facing problem where SCCM 2203 applies DoNotConnectToWindowsUpdateInternetLocations registry key for windows update policies. I went trough all GPO and there is not any policy which apply this setting, but each new laptop or VM installed through SCCM contains this registry key. I did a test and I build as simple Task Sequence for installing Windows 11 as possible without domain without SCCM Client App. Windows 11 is clear image without any customization, just added install.wim into SCCM. Unatended.xml also does not contains this. So this settings must come up from SCCM itselfs. I went through Default Client Settings and also didn't find any item which could be related. Only what I think could be related is "Enable software updates on clients" which I have "No" because I do not want to manage windows updated with SCCM but standalone WSUS. Any idea why fresh SCCM deployed windows, which is workgroup without domain, contains DoNotConnectToWindowsUpdateInternetLocations registry key? (GP cannot be applied) Edit: When I delete this key manually, it is never added again, so it's really just SCCM install task sequence or something which must add it. Simple TS I used for testing if registry key will be applied. ThanksSolved13KViews0likes3CommentsSystem Center DPM 2022 - Azure Backup error 100195
Hello, I recently upgraded our DPM 2019 installation to DPM 2022. Ever since the upgrade, I am getting nightly errors that online recovery point creation jobs failed with error 100195. I see that this is a documented known issue with 2022: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/system-center/dpm/dpm-release-notes?view=sc-dpm-2022#online-recovery-point-creation-of-a-datasource-might-fail-with-error-id-33505-or-100195 I have made sure that the MARS agent is at the latest (2.0.9246) version. With a combination of creating a new disk recovery point and/or running a consistency check (sometimes multiple times), I am able to get all online recovery points to complete successfully. The issue is I have to do this every morning. It's not the same backup jobs that are failing either. I was looking to see if there is a planned fix in the works or if there is a suggestion for a workaround. Thank you!Solved3KViews1like3CommentsScript for SCCM Help please
Hi, I have a setup with SCCM at the moment which works fine for building machines but I need to run a command after the OS is loaded for task sequence which is 'wmic csproduct get name" and then the output from this I need to be added to the device if the model is HP as follows "SELECT * FROM Win32_ComputerSystem WHERE Model LIKE “%HP Elitebook%”" and then if this is true add this to the device variable info in SCCM. Hello, actually I'm trying to install a SCCM 2103 trial under Hyper-V containing two Windows Server 2019 and one Windows 10 client. All are connected via a private switch so they don't have internet access. Installation, configuration and communication works fine. But when I try to install the SCCM-Client on the window 10 VM via Client Push installation it won't work. The ccmexec.exe starts but wont Install the client. Logfile always says: BG error context is 2 A recoverable error has occurred. A retry attempt will be made. Error 0x80200010 The BITS job always falls to the state 'transient error' and I can't fix that. Network configuration is completely fine and everything else works well. As soon as I change the Switch to a external switch, sccm client installation works perfectly fine. But as long as it is a private switch, it won't work. Does anybody know why it is like this? Did I forget some configuration of my window 10 VM?Solved1.9KViews0likes1CommentTroubleshooting PXE/TFTP/Required Deployments that sporadically don't work
I am automating Task Sequence testing by making Required Deployments for temporary Task Sequences in temporary Device Collections for temporary VMware virtual machines. I have a problem in that 25-50% of the time the virtual machine will not get load the boot image and start the Require Deployment and it enters the boot menu. Usually a reboot will make the virtual machine try again successfully, but not always. For deployments that don't start to load the boot image, I can see from the logs that the MAC is a match and that the correct Task Sequence is being offered, but no TFTP connections start. Some facts: * SCCM PXE Responder - but I have tried with WDS with the same result. PXE Responder has better logs. * IP Helper to Distribution Point with SCCM PXE Responder * MAC, device collection, Task Sequence are always unique. * DHCP Delay at 100ms (saw it in a different thread, but it hasn't helped) * Tried both E1000e and VMXNet3 * Changed TFTP Window Size to 4 and Block Size to 1456 (which seems to be what VMware prefers or can handle) Is there any way I can figure out why I can't get a 100% successful result in getting devices to load the boot image and start the required task sequence? Thanks for any pointers in turning on verbose logging or any other helpeful tips.Solved1.1KViews0likes1CommentMicrosoft Azure Management Pack 1.8.0.5 Crashes
Hi! We have been using the Microsoft Azure MP for quite a while now with little to no problems, but the latest version available (1.8.0.5) do now allow us to edit an existing monitoring template. As soon as the subscription tab have loaded the data from Microsoft Azure the dialogue crashes and the entire console with it. Running it with cleared cache does nothing to fix it, same goes for running the console as admin. I have tried on server OS and client OS and on multiple servers and management groups. This environment is using Swedish locale and keyboard with English language, which is basically standard setup in Sweden. Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but might be useful to know. Now... I have seen other discussions where a version 1.8.0.7 of this management pack is https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/127172/new-azure-management-pack.html back in May 2021, but I cannot find it for download anywhere. This puts us in quite the pickle, because the amount of azure monitoring we are doing now makes a downgrade of the Microsoft Azure MP a no-go and our customers want to be able to update their monitoring setup to add new resources. 1.8.0.5 should be pulled to begin with. And the fixed version should be published ASAP.Solved856Views0likes1Comment[SOLVED] MECM 2103 - Clients showing offline and no currently logged on users
