RDMA issue with Azure Stack HCI 22H2, SCVMM22UR1
We have a new ASHCI 22H2 cluster that was working absolutely fine with RDMA until we brought it into our SCVMM22 environment. At that point the RDMA ceased to work and now the SMB vNics show RDMA Capable as False. I found Jan's blog post about VMM 2022 (https://jtpedersen.com/2022/09/rdma-issues-with-smb-vnic-after-deploying-new-host-with-vmm-2022-maxqueuepaircount-0/)
I am having the exact same problem, but unfortunately when I clear the RDMA flag on the Port Profile I still can't manually enable RDMA. Anyone else seen this or have a work around? I am hoping someone on the team has something, I hope not to have to wait until UR2 to get this to work. Thank you!
If anyone else stumbles upon this - I found the solution. Enable vRSS and VMQ as well as RDMA then apply that port profile to your storage vNics. This was a change from 2019 as it worked just fine to have RDMA selected. I applied these settings and checked my RDMA with powershell to find it On and the RDMATechnology set to iWarp
