Skype for Business Mac now Generally Available!
We are excited to announce that the Skype for Business client for Mac is now publicly available for download! Thank you all for the efforts you’ve put into making this launch a success. With your dedicated time, hard work, and valuable feedback, the new Mac client offers high quality video, immersive content sharing and viewing, and a sleek and intuitive look-and-feel to improve how you collaborate day-to-day! Collectively, our customers filed over 10,000 bugs/feedback items and allowed us to release a high quality release! Along with the release of our new Mac client, we have also updated our Skype Operations Framework (SOF) assets to help you plan, deliver, and operate the Mac client in your production environments. To find out more information on how SOF can assist you, read our latest blog post. To watch the latest training on our new Mac client, visit our Skype Academy. We are not finished with the Mac client yet and still need your help to validate upcoming fixes! As part of the Mac Preview program, you can continue to receive the latest Mac updates: Set the Microsoft Auto Update settings to Automatically. Select Channel, then Check for Updates. Go to Help and click Check for Updates. This launches the Microsoft Auto Updater. To get the latest update, select Join the Office Insider program. Beside How to get Insider Builds, select either Office Insider Fast or Office Insider Slow. Once established, you can click Check for Updates. If there are no updates available, it means you are running the latest build. Office Insider Fast (faster release, potentially less stable): best for users who want to use the earliest preview builds to identify issues and provide feedback, and don’t mind a bit of risk using unsupported builds. Office Insider Slow (slower release, more stable): best for users who want to get early access to fully supported builds with minimal risk and provide feedback. Thank you again for being part of our Mac Preview program and making the Office experience great!Saranya YogarajahOct 27, 2016Iron Contributor6.8KViews6likes21CommentsIs there some API to get data from Call Analytics ?
Hi Saranya Yogarajah, Is there some API to get data from Call Analytics ? The objective is to a) "correlate" some usage/adoption metrics (quantitative) vs quality indicators from call analytics (qualitative) b) or be able to agregate data per Country, Department, Office Location (setup in user profile), of course it is not representing the "real location" the user used to make the call, but allowing us to "follow" SLA/QOS indicators per organisational unit So having something we could query with PowerBI will be quite usefullEric JENOUVRIERApr 05, 2017Iron Contributor3.3KViews4likes6CommentsVoicemail for Auto Attendant & Call queueing
Hello all, I really want to request that they add Voicemail to Call Queuing and Auto Attendant this is a important features for after hours calls for our helpdesk - is this possible to do?Nicholas WilliamsMar 27, 2017Brass Contributor26KViews4likes29CommentsEnhancement request for Queueing
In the queueing applicaton we are able to send calls to a particular user after a period of time waiting in a queue, it would be helpful to have work and nonwork hours and then have the option to also send a call directly to Voicemail. This way you could have a queue that in non-work hours you could have calls sent directly to a Voicemail inbox without having to have the caller wait for the queue timeout.Luke PfaffingerJan 04, 2017Copper Contributor935Views4likes2CommentsSkype for Business Mac additional features
Hi Guys, Hoping someone at MS can answer the following questions about Skype for Business Mac (preview). When will conversation roll up be available? In the latest build conversations still show as individual items in the chats list (16.0.3619). When will we see 1 to 1 screen and application sharing? Tabbed conversations? Persistent chat? On the feedback website it's running at the third most requested feature however not "planned" File sharing? Drag a file into the chat window. I think this is a basic IM feature Bounce dock icon, improve notifications Paste images Add groups and filter contacts Integrate with local/mac address book to enable click to call for third party contacts Look forward to hearing more. Does anyone from MS have updates on Project Rigel? It was announced as an initative back in March https://blogs.office.com/2016/03/09/expanding-the-reach-of-skype-for-business-meetings-and-voice-services-in-office-365/ and certainly got a number of our users excited. However, since then there have been no updates from any of the vendors in public or private. I know the schedule was 'second half of 2016' but normally there are slivers of information between the initial annoucement and product release. It'd be nice to hear a 'yes, we're on track to launch on the same timeframes', 'no its been pushed back' or even 'its been cancelled'.Nick VerdegemSep 05, 2016Copper Contributor7.8KViews3likes5CommentsWelcome to the Call Analytics Preview!

Currently it is only possible to automatically schedule call forwarding during outlook work hours in SFB. However we run a small customer service business and need to forward calls outside of work hours so we can anser calls on mobiles when the office is not manned.Toby WatfaFeb 13, 2017Copper Contributor5.4KViews3likes5Comments
