SfB OnPrem to Te
Hello. We plan to migrate all our SfB OnPrem users to Teams. On Teams for voice we setup Direct Routing. Now I have some question. To enable Direct Routing for Teams user some data should be setup in SfB OnPrem like line uri. Also user should be first created in SfB OnPrem and then migrated to the cloud. So what in situation if we move all users to Teams? Could we shut down SfB OnPrem?msabatApr 24, 2020Brass Contributor13KViews0likes19CommentsPolycom VVX400 with Teams

Hello gang, I am currently trying to move some users from my on prem Skype for Business 2015 server to Teams. When I select a user and select Move to Teams I am asked to log on to my Office 365 account and when I put my credentials in I am returned the following error. I have 2 questions 1) How can I be able to get past this error 2) Is there any way that I can run a powershell command that will automatically do this for me via some kind of CSV file that I can prepopulate with users I want to move? Hi, I think its not uncommon for executive high heads with staff members assigned to them that they have the joy using an additional unpublished number so they can be reached directly without previously talking to an assistant that puts you call through. However, this unfortunately seems to be a an sfb onprem feature only. Q: Ist there a way do do something similar in Teams? We have thought about assigning one-member call queues to these folks, but we don't now how we can hide information about the existence of these "special private numbers". Can someone give me a quick answer. I am currently migrating users from Skype on Prem to Teams. Without closing my on prem Skype server how can I know if my users are fully migrated to Teams. Basically what I want to know is if I close my Skype server will my Teams migrated users work? How can I know this for sure? Can someone answer if I can delete the old DNS entries? Have been running Teams only mode since March 2020. We have a few users with the PSTN from Microsoft as Add-On. One license is for Polycom Trio (voice only) running the Teams Client app in a Conference Room. We use a lot of the Microsoft Conferencing Add-on as well. I cannot determine from the MS docs if we still need the old DNS entries from running Skype for Business Online. We never had On-Prem. Can I delete these that MS is still listing in the Org Setup wizard of the Office Admin Portal Skype for Business CNAME sip sipdir.online.lync.com CNAME lyncdiscover webdir.online.lync.com SRV _sip sipdir.online.lync.com SRV _sipfederationtls sipfed.online.lync.comSolvedForrest_HSep 14, 2021Iron Contributor37KViews0likes6CommentsTeams Only cutover
We plan on cutting over all our users to Teams Only mode in a few weeks. A couple of questions for anyone who has done this. "Notify the Skype for Business user" - I planned on turning this on org wide a few weeks prior. Any idea how long it typically takes to show up? If you close it out, does it re-appear? I haven't been able to find many technical details on this setting. Any gotchas on flipping an org with about 5500 users to Teams Only? I planned on doing this later at night, so when users start up the following day it will be applied and Skype will be disabled. Hi all, We are planning to move to Teams Only setting soon (currently on Islands mode. Skype and Teams available for everyone. We have a mix of Skype and Teams users). We have decided to switch all users at once based on Pilot feedback. Since the change will be for everyone, we want to just use the org wide tenant setting in the Teams Admin Center to switch everyone at once so I have a couple of questions about this approach: We have approximately 2000 user accounts. How long will it take for the switch to happen approximately?. Anyone have any past experiences? Will the Skype meetings already schedules be migrated automatically by the backend migration process?. I know this happens when switching individual user accounts when that setting checkbox is marked but I don't know if the migration process will also be triggered by changing the org wide setting. Thank you in advance for your feedback!CG-1717Oct 22, 2020Brass Contributor2.2KViews0likes6Comments
