5 TopicsHow to Uninstall an application assigned to All Devices in phased approach on Intune for Android
Hi, We currently have a 4000+ device estate on Intune, mainly consisting of Samsung Android Devices. When we migrated our phones to Intune, we deployed Samsung Calendar as a "System App" to "All devices" from inside Intune as Samsung Knox has been set to hide all System Apps. We've now come to a point where we want to remove Samsung Calendar from all phones as the preferred option is to use Calendar from inside the Outlook app. However, we want to remove Samsung Calendar in a phased approach. The first part of this is pretty easy, we've created a removal group and assigned it to exclude devices from "Required" and include it under "Uninstall" - This ensures the devices we put inside the removal group will have Samsung Calendar removed and won't be included as part of "All devices" However, This won't stop new devices enrolling into Intune downloading Samsung Calendar as we've still got the "All devices" option under Required and we don't want to keep putting new devices into the removal group. I'm worried that if I remove "All devices" from the Required section, that it will uninstall Calendar from all existing devices (including the one's we've not put in the removal group yet), which makes our phased approach null and void - is this correct? I can't exactly risk trying it because by the time I find out, it will be too late. Any help and Advice would be great. Thank you.3.1KViews0likes1CommentTraining System

I had a large rar file that i had for a large amount of data that i compressed before i carried out a fresh install of Windows Server 2022 build 20298. Its seems that when I was extracting this using either winrar or 7 zip, I could see high read and write to the extracted files by the 'System' PID 4. I have no idea what is doing this, I thought maybe the defender real-time protection may have been the culprit but disabling this didn't seem to change anything. I wouldn't have noticed but I was trying to use the pc while it was extracting and it was becoming unresponsive. Looking into it, it seemed that the files were not being extracted quickly (seemed System PID 4 was hogging the disk). I also have an issue when writing large amount of data to my RAID1 drives. It starts fast but then slows right down. I assumed it was because the hardware RAID kicked where it may be trying to read from one drive and mirroring to the other. But the above PID 4 stuff was on my NVMe SSD which is not RAID and contains the OS. So it s possible that copying to the RAID drives is not a RAID issue but related to the PID 4 activity. Any help here would be appreciated.2KViews0likes1CommentNew Feature in Edge Canary Version 84.0.492.0 - install sites as share target for the whole Windows
This newly added flag: Enable Share Targets Enables installed web apps to register for and receive Share requests from the Windows shell. Requires the Web App Identity Proxy functionality to be enabled as well. – Windows #edge-share-target which requires this flag to be enabled as well: Web Apps Identity Proxy Enables installed web apps to be created with modern Windows application identity for better integration with the Windows shell. – Windows #edge-webapp-identity-proxy the description of the flag is self explanatory but what it does is that when you install a social network website such as Twitter as an app in Edge, it will be added as a share target when you press Share button on Edge or anywhere on Windows 10. Twitter will be registered as a system-wide share target so any app or program in Windows 10 can share files to Twitter website. this was requested before and now implemented. thank you! this is an example of Share from Photos app and you see Twitter which is the website installed as app in Edge is a share target on the list. Keep in mind that this is the first implementation phase for this feature so it might have bugs or might not work for you at all.3.1KViews4likes6CommentsTeams telephony system experience
