Dear Community, we're working hard to distribute apps via Intune. Currently we're having problems with MS Teams. We use the teamsbootstrapper.exe and get error codes 0x80073CF0 / 0x80073CF9 over and over again. Both errors point to the MS Store. The MS Store is activated in our company. Does anyone know which GPO must be activated or deactivated so that communication with the MS Store works without errors? I've tested it within a sandbox on my system - everything worked fine (only the download from teams didn't work caus of no connection to the MS Store). Thanks a lot!6.3KViews0likes1CommentBITS Downloading App updates from unknown endpoint
Hi, Our IDS started freaking out today because a large number of our endpoints started initiating BITS downloads to an unknown endpoint. My initial reaction was ransomware, but after further investigation it appears that these BITS downloads are updates for Windows Store Apps. I am making this post to confirm that these endpoints are actually indeed official Microsoft endpoints. The BITS requests I had seen were all for the Limelight Networks CDN (llnwd[.]net), which I have heard hosts content for a lot of MSPs, one of which being Microsoft. Checking the logs, it appears that our workstations have never made BITS requests to this CDN. All previous BITS updates were carried out using official microsoft.com endpoints. The following are some examples of the domains seen in the BITS requests: ic-c39e4900-0f7065-msftstoretlu19.s.loris.llnwd[.]net ic-c39e4900-0d5ab5-msftstore19.s.loris.llnwd[.]net ic-c39e4900-08b3f9-msftstore19.s.loris.llnwd[.]net ic-c39e4900-0700f8-msftstore19.s.loris.llnwd[.]net Although all my investigations point to these being official Microsoft endpoints, I am worried that a CDN is being used because a malicious actor could easily mangle the URLs to make them look like official Microsoft ones. Is this the correct place to confirm that the above sub-domains are official Microsoft, and if not where should I ask this question instead? If "Treat risky downloads over insecure connections as active mixed content" aka "edge://flags/#treat-unsafe-downloads-as-active-content in edge://flags/ is enabled, no extension's from new https://microsoftedge.microsoft.com/ can be installed. After clicking on download, a popup with "Download canceled" appears and that's it. Are the extension's provided over HTTP or why did this flag break downloads from Store?Solved3KViews0likes3CommentsThemes coming soon to Microsoft Edge Add-ons store!
The latest Edge Canary Version 89.0.707.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit) hints at it. The Microsoft Edge Add-ons store link points to here: https://microsoftedge.microsoft.com/addons/microsoft-edge-themes at the moment there is no themes there (except for this one), nor any "themes" category in the site's user interface, but the website's URL is there so we should be expecting the rest soon3KViews2likes10CommentsStoring persistent data associated to Teams user
I am developing a Teams Tab App where the user needs to authenticate using an external API which sends back a token. As the tab is reloaded everytime it is exited and entered again, the user would need to authenticate again. I would like to store this token somewhere. localStorage is an option, but it would be even better if I could store this token in some kind of storage associated to the Teams user using the app, so, for example, it does not need to relogin when switching from Team in web to Team standalone app. For this, and for other use cases, I would like to know whether it is possible to store data associated to the Teams account that is using the app, so it can be later retrieved (something like a localStorage but associated to the account). I have already had a look at this thread https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/teams-developer/is-there-a-way-to-store-retrieve-persistent-data-in-teams-tab/m-p/1544749#M1549 but I don't see how getContext (as the answer says) can help me with my task. An explanation on this if it's possible will also help. Thank you2.9KViews0likes5CommentsThe old extension store website need to be replaced
Using Microsoft Bing, searching for an extension like ublock origin, shows me this result this is the link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/ublock-origin/9nblggh444l4?activetab=pivot:overviewtab it is the old extension store belonging to legacy Edge. the new one is here: https://microsoftedge.microsoft.com/addons/detail/odfafepnkmbhccpbejgmiehpchacaeak?hl=en-US so either automatically redirect URLs to the new store or just retire that old store. it's confusing for people who are not tech savvy.2.6KViews0likes12Comments
