Repost without tenantID Since June 26, all external Teams chat/federation is broken for our organization. Messages to all external users fail with "Send failed". In our Entra audit log we found the root cause: on June 26 at 05:57 UTC, Microsoft Azure AD Internal - Jit Provisioning failed to provision "Dunloe Dataplane Service" in our tenant (multiple SpnValidationException errors, only 1 of 6 succeeded). We have verified all settings are correct: Get-CsTenantFederationConfiguration → AllowFederatedUsers: True, AllowedDomains: AllowAllKnownDomains Get-CsExternalAccessPolicy → EnableFederationAccess: True Entra Cross-tenant access settings → All B2B inbound/outbound: All allowed This appears to be a Microsoft-side provisioning issue. We need Microsoft to re-provision the Dunloe Dataplane Service for our tenant.40Views0likes1CommentExternal Teams federation broken after Dunloe Dataplane Service provisioning failure

Most users expect Mirror My Video to mirror only their camera video, while leaving the virtual background exactly as they uploaded it. However, when Mirror My Video is enabled, Microsoft Teams also mirrors uploaded background image. So someone on MS Teams Team really thought: "The user will anticipate this and manually reverse their background images, then upload the backwards image so Teams can reverse it again!" We wait in earnest to find out if the next Teams patch will drop all pretenses and just mirror the entire display, including on screen text, menus, and the Windows Start bar.18Views0likes0CommentsCommunities tab in Teams
Hi there I've recently had the Communities tab pop up in my Teams alongside the Teams and Channels tab. No one else in my organisation can see this yet and we aren't sure why. I know it's being rolled out on a timeline but I was also wondering if it might be because I'm the only one in the org who has an Microsoft Viva Employee Communications and Communities licence? Does anyone have any insights into this? We'd like to make a bit of a roll out plan once this appears in our colleagues Team's set ups.148Views0likes2CommentsUpdate: You can now control Teams Meeting Recording expiration notification emails
Hey Teams community, We've heard the feedback. For admins and users managing a high volume of meetings, TMR expiration emails can pile up fast. We've been working on giving you control, and that control is now here. What's new Tenant admins can now use a PowerShell cmdlet to suppress Teams Meeting Recording expiration and deletion notification emails across their organization. Notifications stay on by default (no change if you do nothing), but if you'd like to turn them off, here's how. Prerequisites Latest version of SharePoint Online Management Shell (download here). Note, it's Windows-only, so you'll need a Windows machine or Azure Virtual Desktop SharePoint Admin or Global Admin permissions Steps 1. Connect to your tenant powershell Connect-SPOService -Url https://<your-tenant>-admin.sharepoint.com 2. Check the current value powershell Get-SPOTenant | Format-List *Recording* False = notifications currently on (default). True = notifications suppressed. 3. Suppress notifications powershell Set-SPOTenant -DisableTeamsMeetingRecordingDeletedNotification $true You'll see a confirmation prompt — enter Y to proceed. 4. Verify powershell (Get-SPOTenant).DisableTeamsMeetingRecordingDeletedNotification True means you're all set. No more expiration emails for your tenant. Want to turn them back on later? Just run the same command with $false. What doesn't change Recordings still expire and delete on the same schedule No per-user settings, no UI changes. This is purely a tenant-level admin toggle We'll keep monitoring feedback, and as always, drop your questions below.143Views2likes0CommentsStop Automatic Calling when Screensharing
I screenshare a lot in my position; I call the coworker (Phone/Headset) and train them on what I need them to look at. I am in a large office building, and the automatic calling of the receivers' PC is disruptive, as I do not was the whole office to hear my conversation or have people hear my trainee. I see no way to disable the team auto-call once I start to screen share or in the Options. All my coworkers feel this frustration as well. I do use the computer microphone/speaks aspect when working from home, but would disable it totally, if it would stop the auto-call. I do not want it to affect meeting invites to others, as others around the country can use their PC speak/microphone, if they want. Please advise.20Views0likes0CommentsUpdate to disabling Teams meeting recording expiration notification emails
Hello, Thank you to everyone who shared their thoughts and feedback regarding the planned Upcoming change: disabling Teams meeting recording expiration notification emails. After carefully reviewing the feedback from this discussion, survey responses, and support channels, we have decided to pause the rollout of this change. The updates originally planned for June 1st will not take effect on that date. What this means for you: - Email notifications for expired Teams meeting recordings will continue as they do today. - No action is required on your part. - Recording expiration and deletion policies remain unchanged. Your input along with ongoing, internal engineering discussions helped shaped this decision. We want to make sure that any changes we make to the notification experience truly work for your organizations, and the feedback we received made it clear that we need more time to get this right. We're still committed to improving the notification experience for Teams meeting recordings and will provide updates here and through the Message Center when we have more to share. In the meantime, please continue to share your thoughts in this discussion. Thank you for your patience and for being part of our community.353Views2likes2CommentsHow to explicitly state an external org is trusted
We have a B2B relationship with our parent company. They manage their own M365 we manage ours, but we added each others' domains as instructed in Cross-Tenant Access Settings and allowed access to each other's directory and calendar. However, on our Teams, their users pop up with a grey "external" badge stating "This person's org hasn't yet been added to your org's trusted list" even though Team's External Access Settings is set to Allow all External Domains, which means there is no trust list to begin with. Do the trusted domains have to be specified explicitly if so, is there a way to set this external domain as trusted without having to change "Allow all External domains" to "Allow only specific external domains"?Solved764Views0likes1CommentRestrict Users from Creating New Teams in Microsoft Teams
