Hi, I hope someone can help me here. I was given a Surface 1872 with a broken screen to fix. The picture was viewable but yes, the screen needed replacing. I cleaned out the broken screen and bought a brand new one (that was a mistake that I won't make again !!), I then attached the new screen in place of the broken one (not in the lid, just laying above it) and attached it using the 4 cables. The laptop booted up, but there was nothing showing on the screen. I attached a USBC cable and plugged it onto my Monitor's HDMI port and that screen was fine. I then, by accident, touched the laptop screen and bizarrely, the touchscreen was working, just only visible on my monitor, not the new laptop screen. Googling this told me that it was probably a faulty screen. I then bought a second hand replacement screen, apparently tested and fully working, but as part of the whole top, i.e. in and attached to the lid. I replaced the laptop screen again and this time there was still nothing on it, but my monitor showed some flickering & some lines. I therefore disconnected the screen re-attached all of the cable again and rebooted. I hear the laptop boot up, but now I am getting nothing on either screen !!! What on earth could have caused this ? Why, at least, do I not have video on my Monitor when I did before ?!? I have tried CTRL-Win Key-Shift-B & numerous other suggestions but nothing has so far made a difference 😢 ... Any help or advice would be a Godsend !!!91Views0likes2CommentsScreen freeze or stuck (circles stop moving) when log in to user profile
We're running a mix of dedicated Windows 11 Pro and Enterprise (mainly) VMs for user desktops/AVD. During the login process to the user profile (eg. AD authentication), the blue screen will often freeze/get stuck and the circles stop moving. However, at times the other screens (if more than one screen) will load the user's desktop. Sometimes it doesn't load the desktop on any screen at all. The workaround is to minimise the AVD Windows session and drag/enlarge the Windows session to appear on all screens and then maximise it. The more extended workaround is to disconnect the session and reconnect especially if the desktop is not loading on any screens. Has anyone experienced this issue? Any idea what is the possible cause and fix? It is quite frustrating.6.4KViews0likes5CommentsMerge Smart Copy + Math Resolver + Web Capture
Now we have 3 features that require user to select a part of the screen to do tasks on it. I think now it's the time to merge these into 1 unified option. you select an area and then you will have different options to choose from, whether you want to make a Smart Copy, you want to just capture it as screenshot using Web Capture, or you want to scan it for equation to run on Math solver. instead of 3 distinct buttons on Edge toolbar and 3 distinct options either in (...) menu or right-click, just have 1 button, call it something suitable, a multip-purpose button (i haven't come up with a good name yet).1.3KViews2likes2CommentsHow do you enable screen or application sharing in Teams when it's a published app?
Hello, Is it possible to share an application when Teams is made available as a published app? The only available option is to share PowerPoint. We're looking to share Excel, Word, Adobe Reader, etc. Is this an option only in a published desktop?940Views0likes0CommentsScreen Redraws Moving Windows
Something has changed in the past update or two where I'm seeing odd behavior with Edge and screen re-draws. 1. If I drag an edge window from monitor 1 to monitor 2, the wallpapers flicker and it redraws the screen. 2. On first launch of Edge, it does the same thing. Subsequent windows don't. It's quite irritating and feels unpolished. Anyone else experiencing it? I do run multiple Ultrawides with DisplayFusion to logically divide the screens, that said nothing on my system has been updated or changed other than the Edge version so it seems more likely to be the culprit. EDIT: I should also add dragging any other application/window between the screens does not exhibit this behavior, just recent versions of Edge Chromium.802Views0likes1CommentScreen Share in Android Work Profile not working - by design?
Hi folks, i'm wondering if the teams screen share featuer isn't available by design in android enterprise work profile. (The Device is set up with a work profile, the teams app is running in work context. The user calls someone and want to share the screen. While navigating through the personal profile everyhting is shared correctly, once the work profile is entered the shared screen is only black.) When the problem occured the app protection policies wasn't in place. Thanks you in advance. 🙂Solved6.8KViews0likes2CommentsMicrosoft Teams Screen Share Not Connecting
I have scoured the internet for a solution to my screen share issue, but have resorted to posting here: I cannot even start to screen share without creating a call first which is what I am trying to avoid by sharing my screen (Sharing my screen is optional for the receiver who can flick into it at will rather than having to be in a call constantly and muting teams to avoid disturbance). It does not even connect, I have the black bar at the top with the 'Stop Sharing' red button, but the white text to the left of it says 'Connecting . . .' and then closes a few seconds later to no anvil I would really like to fix this issue as my school has given me access to teams and encourages us to use this, however discord seems to do just that aspect of teams better than teams (or at all) at least for me. I have cleared my cache, signed out, restarted about a million and pi times (the issue has been persistent for many weeks) and only have my personal windows 10 surface laptop to use/test this problem with I have also checked firewall, privacy settings, my anti-malware (Trend Micro), and checked for updates a thousand and -1 times. What can I do!1.7KViews0likes0CommentsSuggestion - Teams Screen Sharing
Hi, I don't know if i'm in the right place but, I have some feature suggestion for the screen sharing in Teams. - Add the ability to copy / paste from the host machine and the remote machine - Use the host machine keyboard configuration and not the remote keyboard - Add the ability to have the control on the remote machine without asking the user when you are administrator of the company And... optimize a little bit the connexion 🙂 This few feature prevent us to stop using Teamviewer for Teams. Thank youSolved3.2KViews0likes4Comments
