Changed the Names and Emails of our Meeting Rooms - Now We Have Issues
A couple of weeks ago, the boss wanted the names of our meeting rooms to change in order to match a new naming convention. Our helpdesk team changed the names of the rooms and also changed each room's email address to match the new name. Since then, user's outlook clients are showing multiple rooms with the same name (only rooms we changed). When booking a meeting in Outlook for one of these rooms, one version will work correctly (room will appear in the location field of the meeting invite). The other duplicate version when selected, will not populate in the location field, but rather, will populate the previous name of the room in the location field. Any advice on how to get these duplicate rooms removed? There are no duplicates listed in Exchange Online under Resources. Duplicates only showing up in Outlook for users.Work Template and Resource Calendar time off & non-work changes are not reflecting on project tasks
I have a few projects in Project for the web (P4W) that are not functioning as I understand the Work Template and Resource Calendar features to work currently. I am also having a hard time finding much definitive information on how these features function. Thanks in advance for the assistance and more details are below. When I have a project that is using my custom Work Template and I have tasks created but no assigned resource to them. Then I make an adjustment to the Work Template resource calendar to say schedule an entire day off as non-working time. The resource calendar already has working time setup 8am to noon, noon to 1pm break, and 1pm to 5pm working time. All time zones are the same everywhere I can find that setting. The task doesn't seem to acknowledge the time off in the scheduling engine. The odd part is I had other non-working or holidays in there it did work on, it just seems like new items I add are not being incorporated into the task scheduling. I even created a new project and tasks just to see if the issue followed a new project and it did. Any idea why this may be? Am I doing something wrong? The same is true when I update a resource calendar and the option to use resource calendars is checked (so it is overriding the work template calendar used on the project). For example I scheduled someone with 3 days off one week. Then later we remove those days off because they wanted them to happen the week after instead. The task items assigned to that resource are not re-calculated to say they are working those days now and the other days don't show as non-working days. I have given this change well over 12 hours to hopefully make it to the schedule but it just hasn't yet. Does it take more time? am I doing something wrong?
Exchange online calendar visibility based on group membership
Hi there I'm doing some discovery work on around Exchange online and looking at resource calendars for room booking. I've set up some rooms and want to restrict access to who can book them. I've set up some groups and assigned them to the rooms and if a user tries to book a room which they don't have access to, its declined. However, these rules still show up on Rooms finder. Ideally I'd want to hide rooms which the user can't book from the room - is this possible? If this is possible, does this also extend to using the Graph API? I am looking to integrate Exchange Online with our booking tool and again only want users to be able to see the rooms which they have access to book. Any help would be appreciated! The scenraio is that the user1 booked the meeting room for a 3 days conference. The user 2 could booked the same resource at one of these three days that the resource should be booked for the user1. Both users got acceptes mail from the resource. This scenario happened several time with different users. Where is the issue please? Best regards Sam
Create event in user calendar invites room - rooms responds in another language
I have an daemon graph app. It creates events in user calendar and invites room. Everything works fine but room responds always in English. When I create event manually through outlook, room responds in my language. How can I define preferred language for create event request or daemon app?
