[FIXED] Need someone from Edge team answer why Edge mobile is using Chromium version 77 ?
Edge on Android is now on the latest version, the same as Edge desktop, everything is new and up to date. https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/discussions/new-edge-canary-mobile-version-available-now-updated-chromium/m-p/2275690 I'm really concerned about security patches and updates that latest Chromium gets (which is version 86 as of this moment) but Edge mobile (Android) is using Chromium 77 which is almost 1 year old! not only that, each Chromium version has more features compared to the previous one but Edge mobile is missing all of that. why is this happening? why Edge Android is not using up to date version of Chromium? How is Smart Copy able to capture both screenshot and meta data at the same time with only 1 copy?
I'm trying this on Edge Version 89.0.722.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit) I use Smart Copy to capture a part of a web page, then I paste it into Notepad and I get meta data like texts. then without copying anything else to the clipboard, I open up Paint 3D and do another paste there, this time I get the picture of that part of the web page I captured using Smart Copy! how is this even possible? 1 copy task and 2 different outputs? when I use Smart Copy and then press Win + V to view the clipboard, I only see text, not picture, but after pressing Ctrl + V in Paint 3D i get the picture and after pressing Ctrl + V in Notepad I get text. I'm not complaining though, this is actually very brilliant and smart.
[Solved] How do I properly add a wildcard domain to Edge tracking prevention exception list?
Found the solution, which was there in front of my eyes all this time but I didn't pay enough attention. Edge shows the correct syntax [*.]example.com so entering [*.]live.com is acceptable and fixes the issue! lesson learned: always pay attention to the info on the screen.
Why all of these HTML5 features are turned off in the last few builds of Edge canary?
Web Cryptography API Content Security Policy 1 Audio track selection Video track selection ObjectRTC API for WebRTC Enumerate devices Screen Capture Access the webcam Credential Management Source? I compared the current Edge canary Version 83.0.478.0 (Official build) canary (64-bit) with the results of a previous version: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/discussions/very-impressive-edge-insider-canary-results-in-html5-test-plus/m-p/877787 Edge now scores 473 http://html5test.com/ I haven't disabled any flags, I'm using the same flags that I have always enabled, there are of course more flags enabled right now than there were before but nothing disabled by me. the score has been that low in the past 2 weeks, so you can say since the past 5-6 canary builds. When is Webview 2 based on Edge (Chromium) going to be finalized and what's the current status?
This article https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/hosting/webview2 was updated 7 months ago. at that time it was tagged (developer preview) but now Edge stable is released, so does it mean Webview2 is also finalized? Also, Will Webview 2 lay the groundwork for Windows SETS? I've heard rumors that Microsoft has been waiting to finish Webview2 and then roll out Windows SETS to insiders.Pay for Enterprise Mobility + Security with our Microsoft account balance
I want to be able to pay for Enterprise Mobility + Security E3/E5 with my Microsoft account. not part of an organization, just for personal use. I can pay for Microsoft 365 personal and family with my Microsoft account balance, from Microsoft store, so why am I not able to pay for E3/E5 as a recurring payment with my Microsoft account balance? https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-365/enterprise-mobility-security/compare-plans-and-pricing
