policy

HI, Is there a way to configure a policy I can assign to users to block them from making international calls and limit them to domestic only. By default users seem to have international calling permission. I know I can go into each user one at a time and set this setting, but with hundreds of users this isn't a sensible approach. I want the default policy to be to block international, then a 2nd policy to Allow that I can apply to specific users. Thanks.26KViews0likes2CommentsFederated vs Trusted organizations in Meeting Policies
Hi Team gurus! I have been testing out the Microsoft Teams meeting policies for a client and I'm curious if anyone else is experiencing the same behavior in the Lobby option as I am: The global policy set in the Teams Admin Center is set to Automatically admit people who is a part of the organization or federated organization: However, when i choose the Meeting Options for the specific Teams meeting, the policy looks like this: In my test scenario, all authenticated organizations (in my example my other Microsoft account, that is not in any way federated with the tenant) can join by bypassing the Lobby function. When using my gmail account, the user shows up as a "Guest" and I'm told to enter my Display name when joining the meeting and then I'm placed in the lobby. Can anyone specify the difference between federated and trusted (unless federated actually means trusted as in my test case?), as I cannot find this in the Meeting Policy docs or anywhere else. Hello everyone Since MS is rolling out its new Teams UI and features like adding a personal account next to your business account, I would like to give it a try but sadly failed with following error message. The message is in german but it says something like: "Due to an organization policy, you cannot use 'xy@hotmail.com' with teams on this device." So yeah, which policy is here meant? I'm a Global Administrator in our M365 environment and it drives me crazy that I can't find this policy. Also, I can't find any similar problems or documentations about this. Can anyone help? Thanks very much.6KViews0likes5CommentsGlobal Teams Feedback Policy
According to https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/manage-feedback-policies-in-teams, I can edit the Global policy for the Teams Feedback Policy instead of creating a new one that has to be managed for every new user that joins the organization. However, I cannot figure out which cmdlet will let me change the global policy for this. Can someone share what that might be? And also what the Get cmdlet is to see the settings for the global policy?Solved3.5KViews0likes1CommentPrivate Channel available/enabled globally in TAC - Nothing in client. Wait for Ignite?
The question to which everyone is seeking the answer, I know. Didn't see anything upon searching so here goes... Recently in the TAC I found under 'Teams || Teams Policies || Global' there is an option to enable private channels. (See SS Below). It's part of the so-called 'global' policy so you'd logically think everyone would get it. However, there's nothing that I see in any of my clients to indicate that functionality. What is also strange is that when you look at the Policy assignments it says '400' default, but we have >2000 licensed users. Huh? Not to mention that it's enabled by default and no one has said anything to me (yet...). My thought is ''Just wait until the trumpets about it are sounded from Orlando next month...' but it's 'partially' there and was wondering if I could find it in PS, create a custom policy, with it enabled and then assign it to myself. I have seen them in action at MS On-Site meetings so they're not a myth, BTW. Anyone?Solved3.2KViews0likes5CommentsDisable "Content Sharing" of users by policy?
Hello~ Affected by the virus, my org would like to use Teams meeting as a sort of contingency replacement of everyday lessons, and we would like to disable students' permission to share their screen during meetings. As colleagues would need to conduct lessons in private channels, there is no way for them to set any "Meeting Options" beforehand to restrict the presenters' permission, so disabling students' Content Sharing policy seemed to be a way out. However, after assigning policy as the screen below to students, students seem can still share their screen... So is there anything I can do with that?2.1KViews0likes1CommentEinschränken von sichtbaren Apps im Teams App Store
Gibt es eine Option hierfür? https://supersimple365.com/user-requests-for-apps-in-teams-store/2KViews0likes2CommentsRecording Policy is set to onedrive, but recordings still saved in stream

Does anyone know if it works below? We disabled Teams option that “annoymous can join the meeting” because it may cause data leakage during Video conference with external resources. Also our Onedrive / Sharepoint file sharing policy is that “Allowing file sharing at the organization level” so we restrict external file sharing. but As far as I know, Teams file sharing is based on Onedrive and Sharepoint policy if we enable “Annoymouse can join the meeting” option,In this case, our employees won't be able to share confidencial files to annoymouses during the video meeting. is this correct? Could you please provide us some clue or simulation result saying that It is true? I would like to have clear evidence it would be great if I can find an official answer from Microsoft. Thank you for your help.Solved1.4KViews0likes4Comments
