The ability to disable the reschedule feature for the person receiving the invite seems to be broken. I deselected the radio button (seen in my screenshot) in the service and saved changes. But when I test it, the email notification still provides me the ability to reschedule or cancel the appointment. In our organization, these appointments are time sensitive and legally cannot happen after a certain date, which varies for each person. We are managing over 200 appts per week, so it is not possible to do any sort of manual work around to ensure we catch unauthorized movement. In researching the issue, it looks like others have asked about the broken functionality, as seen in this 2024 post: Problem with the option to prevent customers managing their bookings | Microsoft Community Hub. But there has been no response. How do we get this issue on Microsoft's radar?173Views1like1Comment"Request Response" not working on Bookings calendar events
I use Microsoft Bookings. When people use my bookings page and book an appointment with me, the appointment invitation is correctly emailed to the person booking the appointment and the appointment shows up on my correct Outlook calendar. The issue I am having is that the calendar event settings do not, by default, enable the "Request responses" option and so when I view the event from my Outlook calendar, I don't see if the attendees have accepted or declined the invitation. When I schedule a calendar event without the use of the Bookings feature, the "Request responses" option is enabled by default. Is there a way to change the Bookings default settings so that "Request responses" is enabled by default so if the attendee accepts the invitation I will be able to see this when I view the event in my Outlook calendar? Is this a known "bug" in Microsoft Bookings that other users have reported to Microsoft or voiced as a concern in online forums? Has Microsoft replied to any of these concerns to other Bookings, Outlook, or Microsoft 365 users?18Views0likes1CommentMicrosoft Outlook All Day Meetings - Defaults to "Free" Instead of Busy???
This is an interesting problem that I think was just overlooked during the creation of All Day Events in Outlook. To give a scenario our organization operates on Microsoft Bookings which uses your blocks to show availability. We constantly have people who take time off or need a day to do something off-site and for whatever bizarre reason All-Day events default to free. Besides the fact this is backwards and infuriating to say the least - it causes so much organizational problems as no one expects an All-Day blocked event to mean you are free. Thats quite the opposite of why you would block your calendar all day I would even go as far to say its completely counter intuitive for All-Day events to be marked as free, who the heck is free when they are OOO for the day? Thats the view point I am coming from / the scenario of why its a hassle though, our workflow operates heavily on our calendar blocks. Can we change this default for our entire organization or per user? Is the only way to make the meeting and then manually change it to busy? This seems like something that was just overlooked and never fixed or address. When we talk to our other Managed Service Providers they just laugh at how much of an oxymoron this feature is - "Im out all day today but outlook marked me as free"............304Views2likes2CommentsOutlook Calendar No Longer Syncing with MS Bookings for One Staff Member
Hi everyone, One of our MS Bookings users (listed as staff on a shared calendar) has the “Events on Office calendar affect availability” option turned on, which allows her Outlook calendar to sync with MS Bookings. This was working fine before, but we recently noticed that it stopped syncing — her Outlook calendar events are no longer reflected on the MS Bookings side, even though the option remains enabled. All other staff members on the same shared calendar with that setting turned on are syncing normally. Has anyone experienced this before? What could be causing this, and how can we troubleshoot it? Thanks in advance for any help!80Views0likes1CommentBookings notification email does not include custom field information
Bookings notification emails only include the service name, customer name, and date/time. It is important that other fields, especially custom fields and the person with whom the appointment is made (as applciable), are included in the email notification. Otherwise, it is too difficult to understand with whom the appointment is made or actions that need to be taken to prepare for the appointment based on the data collected from custom fields. This lack of data makes Bookings nearly useless except for personal bookings where only one person needs to know info about their own appointments.3.9KViews4likes13CommentsMain bookings calendar not showing busy blocks from outlook
When we first started using bookings earlier in the year, if you had an appointment in outlook it would show a block for the staff being busy. This is necessary so when manually adding appointments we don't double book a staff member. Now however, those blocks are not showing. Outlook does appear to be pushing the info to bookings, but they only show if you go into the "Calendar and Availability" section of the staff details screen (multiple clicks outside of the main calendar). Going there every single time to book a staff member is not practical. Does anyone know how to get the main calendar to show when staff are busy again?79Views0likes1CommentHow to Filter or Block Non-Business Emails in Microsoft Bookings?
Hi community! 👋 I'm currently using Microsoft Bookings to manage appointment scheduling for a project, and I’m looking for a way to restrict or filter out personal emails (like @gmail.com, @yahoo.com, etc.) from making bookings. What I've Tried So Far: Required custom field asking users to "Enter your business email" Manual review via "Admin Approval" setting Filtering in Outlook after the booking is created But these are still more like workarounds. Is there any built-in feature or third-party integration that can: Block bookings unless the email is from a business domain Auto-decline free/personal email addresses Or at least flag them in the calendar? Bonus Context: I run a digital experience site that blends online booking and content storytelling — one of our examples is this fun article combining real-life stories with booking-based workflows: 🔗 https://tirafficridergame.com/evel-knievel-mining-incident/ It’s not a direct tutorial, but we're expanding into more productivity-related content. Hi, I want to use Microsoft bookings as the primary calendar system for my company. We currently use Outlook calendar. However, when I click into Microsoft Bookings calendar, it only displays appointments booked via Microsoft bookings. Yes, "Events on Office 365 calendar affect availability" toggle is enabled. Microsoft bookings correctly blocks off time that is busy in Outlook, I just can't see any of those Outlook entries in Microsoft bookings. How can I fix this please? I don't want to have to flick between Outlook calendar and Bookings calendar. Thanks, Irene63Views0likes1CommentMS Bookings glitches across timezones
Hello, thanks for reading. Problem: Staff calendars not appearing properly across time zones in MS Bookings In Microsoft Bookings, staff create recurring Free slots in Outlook to mark availability for schedulers. These slots always display in the business’ timezone, regardless of the viewer’s timezone. However, all other calendar items (including Bookings appointments, as well as outlook events) shift to the local timezone of the calendar viewer. This mismatch causes schedulers to place appointments that appear to fit to them, but staff in other timezones see them shifted outside the intended Free slots, creating conflicts and misaligned bookings. Example: Business timezone = MST. Scheduler timezone = MST. Staff timezone = PST. 1. Staff creates a recurring Free slot from 12:00–1:00pm PST (which shows correctly as 1:00–2:00pm MST in the shared business calendar). 2. Scheduler (in MST) books a 1:00pm MST appointment, believing it fits inside the Free slot. But on the staff’s Outlook calendar, the booking appears at 12:00pm PST, which is outside their Free slot, and at an objectively different time. I have verified that the staff and scheduler have correctly identified their timezones via Outlook on the Web > Settings > General > Language and time > Current time zone.53Views0likes1CommentNo more than 2 slots available for services
Hi, I am currently having an issue with bookings in which I have defined one service for every member of my team. They have different schedules, but some days there may be 5 people at the same time working. However I don't want them to be all on meetings at the same time. Is there an option that allows me that, if two members are scheduled on a meeting on a specific day and time, the other services calendars are unavailable to book? Thanks, Carlos38Views0likes1Comment
