Looking for some support on this issue. I have Win11 clients that were upgraded from 24H2 to 25H2 last year. They were functioning well until earlier this year when the Cumulative Updates started breaking smartcard authentication on our clients (day after installing/rebooting/cache clearing). This seems to be a known issue but are there any real fixes? Symptom is that after the update is installed, next day (after a reboot or cache cleared) the user starts their Outlook or Teams application, when receiving the prompt that says "you will be prompted for your PIN" nothing follows, you will see the blue dots circling and after 5 or so minutes it times out. Clicking on the "..." shows an informational message error #50058, which says that not enough information was provided. The authentication process is failing... BTW - web authentication works just fine, it's just the local application (Teams, Outlook, etc.) that fail. I found that creating a new account on the system seems to work just fine, but for people that have established accounts and program environments that are setup for them to work, creating a new account is very unappealing to them. I'd like to be able to just get their current accounts working. Creating a new profile, wiping current profile info from registry doesn't seem to work thanks to automagic backups the OS is doing, but even that would still require setting up a new profile and copying over non AAPDAT file structure info... Does Microsoft not have a fix to this "known" issue? I spent a few weeks really digging into this and the best I can find as a work around is to disable the automatic backups of the NTUSER.DAT, blow away current profile info in registry, rename current profile structure, and then have the user login "anew". Again, this still requires a copy of the non-AAPDAT data back into the new structure (at least permissions won't be an issue) but that will not restore all application-based information for that user--that still will have to be re-created, which I think the users will not want to do because it means starting over from scratch.263Views0likes2CommentsMicrosoft Teams and Authenticator lockdown
I’m having a very frustrating issue with Microsoft Teams. I am able to log in to teams using my normal personal email and account ONLY ON THE WEB BROWSER. From the web browser, I am not able to access the business channel that I am in. When attempting to log in on the downloaded mobile Teams App, I am sent directly to Microsoft Authenticator, which after waiting several hours, waiting even a full day, is still displaying a message about repeated verification attempt and to wait and try again later. I have accessed Microsoft support chat and they had no help for me. I need the authenticator lockdown to refresh and it will not.176Views0likes1CommentTrapped in an Authenticator Loop
Dear Community, please help! I am trapped in an Authenticator Loop. I've got a microsoft workplace account, but if I want to log in, I have to type in a code from the microsoft authenticator app. I downloaded the app, but in order to use it, I have to log into my account and in order to do so, I also have to type in a code from the authenticator app, which I don't get, because to get the code I would have to log into the authenticator app, what I would need a code for... No matter which link I click, I can't open anything before I enter the code, which I can't get. I am using teams on mac, either on a firefox browser or on the desktop app and the authenticator on an Iphone. Please don't just tell me "don't use teams on a mac", this wasn't my choice. Unfortunately, my emplyer's IT support also is chronically unavailable. So is here anyone who could help me? I've already gone through the usual deleting the app, using another browser etc. options. My Hotmail account has been blocked by Microsoft due to “unusual activity,” and I urgently need help. I’ve attempted recovery multiple times, but the phone verification system is not working and all my requests keep getting rejected with the reason "that information I provided was not sufficient enough". I also have an active Microsoft 365 subscription tied to this email, and I can no longer access any of my Office 365 services. This issue needs immediate resolution.313Views0likes1CommentWebsite Rendering Issue on Microsoft Edge - Seeking Assistance
Hello everyone, I've been encountering an unexpected problem with my website's rendering specifically on Microsoft Edge browser. The website displays perfectly fine on other browsers like Chrome, Firefox, and Safari, but when viewed on Microsoft Edge, certain elements seem to be misaligned or appear distorted. I've ensured that the website's code is compliant with web standards and has been validated. Despite this, the issue persists exclusively on Edge. I've also tested it across multiple devices running different versions of Edge, and the problem seems consistent. The https://capprocutapk.com/ is built using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery for interactivity. I've used responsive design practices to ensure compatibility across various screen sizes. Has anyone encountered a similar problem before or have suggestions on how to address this issue specific to Microsoft Edge? Any insights, advice, or potential solutions would be greatly appreciated. Plz tell me how to fix as I am not a technical person. Thank you in advance for your help!Solved2.4KViews0likes4CommentsHoldings and Subsidiaries - How to manage?
Hello and greetings from Portugal, I'm looking for some advice about how should I manage a client's request. They're changing they're structure in the following way. They're creating an holding and some subsidiaries. How should a manage this, in a way that, although they are different companies, they have a "top company" and they should be able to find themselves in Teams, for example. Thanks in advance! Hi, Today I was going to add a new MS Office 365 Essentials license to an existing microsoft account where licenses for two MS Office 2016 for Mac licenses existed already. The result was that I ended up with two accounts on the same email and authentication issues as a result. I went to the original account and changed the primary email to create two completely separate accounts but now struggle with several problems. 1 - the teams button doesn't show in outlook 2016, despite restart of both outlook and teams. build version was 16.16. The license is Office Home & Business 2016 for Mac, - I'm not a wizz on Mac, but will I get 16.24 version just by running automatic updates? understand last update was run only a month ago. - Is there anything else I can do to get the synchronization and teams int 2 - In Teams, both the application and the web version, it keep showing an error saying "Can't sync right now. We'll try again soon." when trying to create, edit and manage meetings in calendar.5.4KViews0likes1CommentBlock Other Tenants/Subscriptions
We are looking into using more of office365 but we have concerns with users being able to login to other office365 tenants from work machines. For example we want the users to be able to login to Our Teams instance but we do not want the users to login to any other random team instances that they may have. How do we stop this? The URL's seem very generic so i can't block all URL's except for our companies URL......how are other companies handling this issue?Solved3KViews0likes2Comments
