Hello, One of my users regularly logs into a vendor's SharePoint site using his Microsoft Live account. After closing and logging out of the vendor's site, any time afterward that he tries to log into our company SharePoint or O365 site at portal.office.com, he receives an "incorrect login" message. We use Office 2016 Pro 32-bit desktop apps, and have E3 O365 subscriptions, OneDrive for Business and Sharepoint Online. We also use Multi-Factor authentication for all our accounts. The problem appears to be related to Office 365 single sign on: The credentials dialog URL changes to Live.com instead of remaining on the expected portal.office.com site. I can confirm the sites by URL address: He uses portal.office.com or company.sharepoint.com and the URL is correct until the credentials login appears, then it switches to the Live.com URL. I was able to temporarily able to fix this by clearing his browser cache, but as soon as he logs into the vendor's site, the problem reoccurs. Another work around is to use two web browsers, but we do not want that as a permanent fix. I've gone into Credential manager on his machine. There do not appear any stored Web credentials, but there are lots of Windows credentials, except none of them appear to be related to the websites. Anyone have this problem, or can suggest additional troubleshooting ideas? Thank you!7.6KViews0likes10CommentsMicrosoft Account Troubleshooter: not updated since Oct. 2013
Hi! I downloaded today (2020-07-14) the tool ( https://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/13976.how-to-troubleshoot-microsoft-account-issues.aspx ) and opened it with 7-zip. The files there are from Oct. 2013. It means that the tool might not know about changes to account authentication. Therefore, it may report wrong conclusions/detections. I may be wrong but it seems to me that the tool needs some updating.5.3KViews1like5CommentsSynch files from Onedrive for Business shared with Microsoft Account to PC?
My customer has shared a folder on his OneDrive for Business (O365 Business Premium) with 2 people. They use a Microsoft Account to access the folder. This works. They want to sync the content of the folder to their PC. This does not work. Is this correct? Is synchronization not possible when using a (free) Microsoft Account? Bonusinfo: I created a teamsite for this situation. The external users can access the teamsite in the browser with the Microsoft Account (as expected for collaboration with customers). When they click the "sync" button in the documents library nothing happens, allthough their Personal OneDrive Folder is opened in Windows Explorer. Do I need to assign them a paid license (or create a internal user with license) for this to work?Solved3.5KViews1like4CommentsIssue loging into a Teams tenant where I am invited
Hello all, I'm having a problem which bothers me a lot! I can login to Teams on my Organization, but I can't join a tenant where I am invited. I correctly reveived the invitation email, I correctly see that the tenant has been added to Teams in the right top corner, with notifications in it, but whenever I click on it, it tries to login but fails each time, both on the client app, and the web app. After all, I have to login again to my own organization. Another problem I'm having, is that I created a Microsoft account with my professional email adresse, BEFORE having O365. So with the same email address, I now have 2 accounts: one with O365, one "personal". It's SO annoying because some app needs the O365 one, and some app works with the personal one (like some Excel Sheets shared). How can I merge the 2 accounts, and stop this mess?! I already tried what was said online (to rename it...etc.) but still doesn't work, and still having access issues with some files. I guess the issue with Teams comes from it as well. Another example, I couldn't create this login on my professional one, I had to click on the personnal one...so stupid! Please help, I'm getting very angry about Microsoft on this point. Thanks, Thomas1.6KViews0likes2CommentsShare with specific people
I am trying to figure out what seems to be a contradiction in Microsoft's documentation with regard to "Share to specific people". https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/share-onedrive-files-and-folders-9fcc2f7d-de0c-4cec-93b0-a82024800c07#:~:text=Klicken%20Sie%20einfach%20mit%20der,der%20gew%C3%BCnschten%20Stelle%20einf%C3%BCgen%20k%C3%B6nnen. states To track access and ensure security, you can only share with someone who is in your organization or has a Microsoft Account. But https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/external-or-guest-sharing-in-onedrive-sharepoint-and-lists-7aa070b8-d094-4921-9dd9-86392f2a79e7 states The recipients won't need a Microsoft account. Is there a difference in the two scenarios which I don't recognize? Or is this a recent change where one of the two documentations has not been properly updated yet?1.3KViews0likes2CommentsIs Cloud Clipboard Syncing Service counterpart at Microsoft servers working?
Hi everyone! I have just given up trying to make Windows Cloud Clipboard Syncing work. Yes, I have tried roughly everything to fix it - except for a rain dancing. For instance, prayers and candles were not helpful at all 😋. Now, being a bit more serious, I will not enumerate in detail here everything I have tried but it ranged from from UI settings on and off, logging with a local account and back with Microsoft account, restarting and setting values to entries on Registry and Group Policy Editor. No joy! My theory: the problem is not at my side. Not on my account, my computers nor my Windows configuration. I firmly believe that the service at Microsoft side is not coping with the huge load of Ctrl+C from every user worldwide with 2+ devices logged in with the same account. So, my question is quite simple: how do I know if the Windows Cloud Clipboard Service counterpart at Microsoft servers is working properly? Is there a tool to forcefully test this API interface and thus say "you computer configuration is at fault" or "sorry, we have dropped the ball and the Clipboard Cloud Service is not available right now"? Is there a way to download the Cloud Clipboard associated to my account somehow to help debug the problem? Note: although this problem seems unrelated to my Windows version, I am running on both machines Windows 10 Pro v1909 (retail, not insider) build 18363.1082. Thanks a lot for your inputs!
