Speaker works.
Dear experts, I'm using Microsoft Teams Rooms (Rally/Rally Plus + Logitech tap cat5e) with the latest version on Windows 11 25H2, and I'm experiencing the following issue: Problem: microphone drops during calls. Speaker works. Symptoms: - You hear occasional glitches or unexpected noise (such as clicking or popping) in the audio stream. - You might also see momentary visible glitches in a video stream. - and occasionally a USB audio or video device might stop working. Workaround - Unplug the device, and then reattach it to the computer. - If step 1 doesn't work, restart the computer. Kinda points me to a windows problem or a driver problem and not a teams problem, but still unclear on the cause I followed the steps described in this topic, but the issue still persists. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/windows-client/setup-upgrade-and-drivers/usb-audio-video-devices-malfunction?source=docs#resolution Has anyone experienced the same issue? If so, could you please help me resolve it? Thank you in advance.355Views0likes2CommentsUpdate: You can now control Teams Meeting Recording expiration notification emails
Hey Teams community, We've heard the feedback. For admins and users managing a high volume of meetings, TMR expiration emails can pile up fast. We've been working on giving you control, and that control is now here. What's new Tenant admins can now use a PowerShell cmdlet to suppress Teams Meeting Recording expiration and deletion notification emails across their organization. Notifications stay on by default (no change if you do nothing), but if you'd like to turn them off, here's how. Prerequisites Latest version of SharePoint Online Management Shell (download here). Note, it's Windows-only, so you'll need a Windows machine or Azure Virtual Desktop SharePoint Admin or Global Admin permissions Steps 1. Connect to your tenant powershell Connect-SPOService -Url https://<your-tenant>-admin.sharepoint.com 2. Check the current value powershell Get-SPOTenant | Format-List *Recording* False = notifications currently on (default). True = notifications suppressed. 3. Suppress notifications powershell Set-SPOTenant -DisableTeamsMeetingRecordingDeletedNotification $true You'll see a confirmation prompt — enter Y to proceed. 4. Verify powershell (Get-SPOTenant).DisableTeamsMeetingRecordingDeletedNotification True means you're all set. No more expiration emails for your tenant. Want to turn them back on later? Just run the same command with $false. What doesn't change Recordings still expire and delete on the same schedule No per-user settings, no UI changes. This is purely a tenant-level admin toggle We'll keep monitoring feedback, and as always, drop your questions below.631Views2likes2CommentsChoose your path: Start or grow your Microsoft partnership

Hi, I've been experimenting with the Teams Video Filters platform that was announced in public preview in 2023 and have successfully built a proof of concept. Before investing further, I'm trying to understand Microsoft's current direction for this capability. While the APIs and documentation still exist, I haven't found much recent discussion, roadmap information, or examples of new apps being built in this space. Can anyone from Microsoft comment on: Whether Video Filters remains an actively supported extensibility platform Whether new third-party filter apps are still encouraged Whether there are plans for further investment in this area I'm mainly trying to assess whether this is a good long-term bet for a commercial Teams app, or a feature area that has effectively plateaued. Thank you and BR, Sergey.59Views0likes0CommentsHow are people keeping manager notes private in Teams without creating a mess of separate files?
We’re trying to get managers to keep better notes from 1:1s, performance conversations, development discussions, etc., but the privacy side gets messy pretty quickly. If everything goes into OneNote, Loop, or Word docs, managers end up with a bunch of separate files and folders for different employees. If they keep notes in Teams chats or meeting notes, it becomes harder to control what’s private, what’s shared with the employee, and what HR should actually be able to see. Has anyone found a clean setup in Microsoft 365 where managers can keep private employee notes without turning SharePoint/OneDrive into a filing cabinet?66Views0likes1CommentMicrosoft Teams transcription language settings
Hi! With a Microsoft 365 Business Premium license and a Copilot license, I can use transcription during a Teams meeting by setting the spoken language to Auto Detect. However, the transcription is sometimes inaccurate. Is there a way to limit the language detection scope? For example, is it possible that I select only English and Chinese, and Auto Detect is restricted to those two languages instead of also attempting to detect languages such as Spanish or French ?241Views0likes2CommentsTeams Meetings Get AI Memories for Copilot
If your tenant has Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses, you’ll soon see meeting archive files generated by AI for Teams meetings. The files are stored in a SharePoint Embedded container, but they’re not intended for user consumption. Instead, AI tools like Copilot and the Facilitator agent will use meeting archive files to generate better responses to questions from meeting participants about what happened during meetings. It’s yet another file type to figure out how to govern. https://office365itpros.com/2026/10/21/ai-meeting-archive-files/107Views0likes0Comments
