hello! so i build apps for macOS that use the AX Tree exposed by other apps. in the old Teams, i was able to expose the AX Tree by sending a call to Teams (see https://www.electronjs.org/docs/latest/tutorial/accessibility#macos for more info). it doesn't work anymore in the new Teams. there's another flag that can be sent to apps, but it doesn't work either. the new Teams doesn't expose its AX Tree to my calls. but i **KNOW** it is possible to expose it, because i've found at least one third party app that is able to do so. so, my question, what needs to be done to the new Teams so that i can have access to the AX Tree with my own apps? thank you!1.2KViews1like9CommentsmacOS 'native' app consuming too much memory/GPU (Apple Silicon)
Dear Microsoft, Ever since the launch of the Apple Silicon machines, macOS users have been using the macOS native app of Teams via Rosetta 2. Due to that, the application is consuming a great amount of memory when compared to the Edge PWA of the Microsoft Teams web app. In my day-to-day I can notice that the Microsoft Teams app is in total consuming 2,10GB, however, if I hop into a call that number increases to 3,10GB.. If the video camera is turned on it goes beyond 3,30GB. Besides memory, there's also the battery life component where teams are my highest energy usage app on my Macbook Pro 14" with the M1 Pro chip. due to that my battery life only lasts up to 5-6 hours maximum. Additionally, I noticed during a video call my M1 Pro (GPU) is being used by around 80-90% when using the webcam. I understand developing a 'Universal App' takes time but I would like to ask ahead of the 'Performance' event what are your plans for the macOS users because we have been enduring this for the last 2 years ever since the M1 machines come out. Could you possibly let us know of a possible Beta Preview version of a universal app or an up-to-date Electron version that supports performance improvements? Please point me in the right direction so I can upload logs/stats regarding performance to further help you improve the product and assist the development team if needed.Teams status is showing as 'status unknown'
We are seeing a strange issue where users of Teams have their status shown as 'status unknown'. In our organisation this only seems to be affecting users who are using Teams on MacOS. Users have tried signing out/back in, restarting their Macs, and also reinstalling Teams.Solved112KViews1like6CommentsNew Teams macos notification sound is generic apple sound
Our users are trying New Teams on macOS and asking how to make the notification sound the teams sound instead of the generic Apple notification sound. As I understand it, this is not customizable by the device users and the app must implement the sound. Assuming this is the case, when will Microsoft add the Teams notification sound into new teams on macos?Solved6.1KViews4likes1CommentMacOS Teams - No Version Switcher and No 'Report a Problem'
I'm using MacOS Teams v1.6.00.27656 on MacOS 14.0 on my work O365 account. I do not see a toggle to switch the new Teams in the top-left of my Teams app. I also do not see an option to "Report a Problem" under the Help menu in the bottom-left (it only shows Topics, Training, What's New, Suggest a Feature, and Give Feedback).1.1KViews0likes3CommentsMicrosoft Teams for MacOS is Blank

Hello, for the last week I have noticed on my Mac that when using the Web based version of teams (teams.microsoft.com) and are in a meeting that if you shift focus to respond to an external meeting chat or to view your calendar schedule that the video now blanks. This never occurred prior to this week. The blanking now results in attendees asking have you dropped off because they can no longer view your attendance. To get the video back you need to focus on the minimised video and enlarge it and this brings the person video back. To ensure its not a individual Mac related issue i've have tried this on 4 different Macs including intel and M1 and all demonstrate the same behaviour. Is there some way to force a return to the old behaviour where the video is not turned black when focus is shifted?Solved3.3KViews1like15CommentsApple Silicon Rosetta 2 Performance issues

Hello all: I have the MacOS built-in notifications enabled in Teams, and they seem to be working for chats, but Teams still tries to use the Teams-style notifications to notify of incoming calls and meeting starts. Is this the intended behavior? I find that I often have a MacOS alert sitting there and cannot view the incoming call notification because it is underneath the native alerts sent by other applications. Is there a way to get ALL Teams notifications to utilize the MacOS native notifications system? Hi, We are developing an app for Teams. For one specific user the "Version" and "Published by" field on about tab are empty. The user is using MacBook Pro (Retina) with OS version 10.15.3 (Catalina). Other mac users do not observe this issue. Here is the screenshot: What we have already tried: Unistall organization application -> Sign out from MS Teams -> Sign back -> Install organization app Uninstall organization app -> Uninstall MS Teams -> Install MS Teams -> Sign in -> Install organization app Uninstall organization application -> Build new manifest package -> Upload it as a custom app None of these steps has helped. Can please you suggest how can we solve this problem? Thanks.2.1KViews1like6Comments
