Hello! We have SharePoint Foundation 2019 on-prem with configuration database version 16.0.10377.20000. I am the new administrator for this SharePoint application. When site administrators configure alerts on Lists, they receive an error, "Sorry, something went wrong" and "You do not have an e-mail address". Also, when they go to follow a site, they receive the error "500 INTERNAL SERVER ERROR". I have also noticed that when anyone goes to "About Me", the server switches from https://{name} to http://{servername}/my/person.aspx and the error "404 NOT FOUND" is displayed. Active Directory (AD) sync is properly configured and users have email addresses, from what is seen in the Central Administration portal. What the $@!#% is wrong with this server/installation? I greatly appreciate your help.4.1KViews0likes17CommentsOnedrive failed to install on my mac
Dear Microsoft community, I am unable to install the onedrive app on my mac again. It is showing the same error everytime that "unable to install onedrive folder [name] at this moment", please try again later". I am unable to find any solution related to this issue on internet. I have checked all the settings and nothing worked out for my case. I have talked to the IT support from the institution and they are unable to fix it. Please help me in this issue. I shall be very thankful to you. Re909Views0likes0CommentsNews Web Part rendering issues
Is anyone noticing major rendering issues with the SharePoint Online News web part? The issues are similar to this post... https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/sharepoint/changes-to-top-story-news-web-part/m-p/2586536 ...but the impact is also on other 'Layout' types. It is almost as if Microsoft have broken their CSS or something, as the images used in news item banners are rendering as full size, rather than being cropped and having a gradient applied (to ensure text is readable in the web part). My configuration of the web part is as shown below (or attached), and I can confirm that this issue is happening in multiple tenants, and mulitple site collections. In fact, I can't find any site collection where this issue ISN'T occurring. Be very keen to hear of others experiencing this, and would be grateful if others could test this in their own tenants to see how widescale the problem is. Hello, We've ran into a small problem with the default column values feature on a SharePoint Online document library. We've set up the enterprise keyword columns default values on a library, and it works fine most of time and adds the tags to the uploaded file, but if a user uses the new button and adds a new docx file from the default templates, it doesn't work. The main reason is that the template docx has no keywords set in it's metadata, but we observed different behavior when uploading files: if the uploaded docx has no keywords set, it gets overwritten correctly. As a workaround we've tried to modify the default templates keywords to match the settings on the doc library, but we've found no method to do this. Thanks in advance. I am not able to add Task List and Issue tracking list as web part in Modern Site pages. Although Document Library and Generic Lists are being added successfully. Am I missing something here? Do I need to activate some site feature or something? Any help will be appreciated. Hello, everyone. I would like a solution I have to a problem regarding the OOB Embed webpart for SP 2019 Modern Site Pages. Currently, when you have anonymous access turned on, and you go to a page with an embedded video, it will try and get the user to authenticate in order to perform a POST request to _api/SP.Publishing.EmbedService/DataEmbed. The video still loads up as normal, but the authentication prompt is intrusive to the User Experience. Any advise would be helpful. Thanks, ASSolved3.6KViews0likes6CommentsIs this a bug? Look up column to External List error - SP2016
Hello folks - I am trying to find out if this is a bug with the product, or an issue with my farm. So, I wanted to reach out to the community to get help on something tested. (SharePoint 2016) Please consider this scenario. I've this tested on both on-premise farms and results are same. Prerequisites: Make sure to have a BCS External Content Type to a SQL database of your choice Make sure to create an External List using this ECT to the said SQL database Steps: Browse to Site Columns on a site collection (Same site collection that external list is on) Create a new site column, select type Lookup - Give a good name that you can remember Select "Get information from: " drop down to the External List you've already created, and select a column Hit "OK" Questions: Do you get an error? If you browse back to Site Columns do you see the column actually created but type is listed as "External Data" ? Please let me know your findings here. Thanks! Ali3.1KViews0likes9Comments
