A friend of mine from Texas has been trying for a while to redeem points from the Microsoft Rewards program for store credit, mainly to buy a game she really wants to play, but she never gets the credit. She gets confirmation mail regarding the store credit, but she was never able to redeem the store credit. No code, no additional dollars added to her account, nothing. I never had this issue before, but I suppose it's simply because I'm from another country where the rewards program still allows you to redeem store credit through codes. In Texas, if I read it correctly, the store credit is supposed to be added to the account almost instantly, but it seems like the store credit is still pending. It doesn't help that it has to be spent in 3 months' time, and she had been attempting to redeem the store credit for so long that a lot of it may already be expired before she even properly receives it. She tried contacting support, but got little to nothing out of it. I'd like to get in touch with someone and see if this issue can be resolved. She is having it rough and I just can't stand there and be unable to help her. Can anyone help her (or perhaps us) out? I'd really appreciate it.20Views0likes0CommentsCritical Pen Hover & Stray Ink Issue on New Surface Pro 11 for Business with Slim Pen 2
Hello Microsoft Community and Support Staff, I am writing to report a critical and seemingly widespread issue with the pen input on the brand-new Surface Pro for Business, 13-inch (Intel model, often called Surface Pro 11 "Luna Lake"). The Core Problem: Pen Draws Without Touching the Screen When using the Surface Slim Pen 2, the device begins to register ink input while the pen is still hovering a few millimeters above the screen. It does not require any physical contact or pressure. This "hover-inking" makes handwriting completely unusable. As I write, any time I lift the pen to start a new letter or stroke, the pen continues to draw a line as it moves through the air to its next position. This results in messy, connected handwriting with unwanted "tails," completely defeating the purpose of having a premium inking device. This is Not a Defective Unit - It's a Replicable Problem Initially, I thought I had a faulty device. However, to isolate the issue, I have performed extensive testing: I have personally tested this on [3] brand-new Surface Pro 11 (Intel) devices. I have used [4] different Slim Pen 2s. The exact same hover-inking problem occurred on every single combination of device and pen. Furthermore, I have already performed all standard troubleshooting steps, including: Clean OS installation via Surface Recovery Image. Ensuring all Windows, driver, and firmware updates are installed. Running the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit (which reported no errors). However, the same issue continues to occur even after trying these methods. Additionally, it has been reported that the issue also appears on the latest Surface Pro 12-inch model with the Snapdragon X Plus, just like on the Surface Pro 11 that uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite instead of Intel’s Lunar Lake. (I do not own any Snapdragon devices myself. If you own a Snapdragon device and are experiencing the same issue, please share your feedback.)" Video Evidence: I have recorded a clear video demonstrating the problem. It shows the pen drawing while hovering on the Surface Pro 11 and makes unwanted tails on handwriting letters. What are the official steps to escalate this issue directly to the Surface engineering team for a fix? This is a major flaw in a flagship product that severely impacts its core functionality. I have submitted a formal bug report through the Feedback Hub, which can be found here: Feedback Hub Link: https://aka.ms/AAxzh27 I urge the Microsoft team to investigate this with high priority and release a firmware or software update to recalibrate the pen's Initial Activation Force (IAF). Thank you for your attention to this serious matter.110Views1like1CommentEdge PDF reader comment issue
Hi all, I tumbled upon an issue with Edge PDF reader, while adding comments in a PDF document. Issue While adding comments in my document, everything was working fine until it wasn't (added around ten comments before it stopped working). Basically I'm able to open the comment popup and type my comment, but unable to validate it. I did some digging online and found this tread (sadly closed) where user encountered the same issue. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftedge/forum/all/adding-comments-to-pdf-edge-document/92b96c52-a1e3-4433-a58e-29c76691fa7c I tried to work around the issue by restarting my browser, which did not help. However, it seemed to me that it's a mouse focus issue. How to reproduce it I got the issue while using two Edge windows side by side on the same monitor (each taking half the screen), while having a second monitor (that I use for other stuff) aside. The problem seems to solve itself somehow after some time when closing one of the two Edge window and putting the other in full screen. When I try to add a comment, I first highlight the text, then clic on the comment button on the popup menu and type my comment. However, when I want to validate the comment, the wrong cursor is displayed when I hover the "validate" button (the text insert cursor instead of the hand). I have to clic once (the text in the PDF doc previously highlighted is no more) which change the cursor to an arrow, then another clic which closes the comment menu, whitout adding the comment. Workaround I managed to add a comment in this situation by typing the comment, then using the tab key to select the "validate key" and press the enter key, and it worked. On a side note, I find it quite complicated to submit feedback, I think I spent a good half an hour before reaching this forum (I don't even know if it's the right place). Anyhow, I hope it can help237Views1like1CommentCan’t Click Anything in Full Screen Mode on Microsoft Edge
I’m experiencing a strange issue with Microsoft Edge on macOS. Whenever I enter full screen mode, the main content of any website becomes completely unclickable. I can still click on the toolbar, tabs, and address bar, but the actual webpage doesn’t respond to any clicks. When I exit full screen, everything works normally again. I’ve tried restarting Edge, disabling extensions, and even clearing the cache, but nothing has fixed it so far. I'm on Version 139.0.3365.2 (Official build) Dev (arm64)108Views2likes2CommentsRemote display not changing to 1920 x 1080
With initial versions of Mixed Reality Link the remote display in the Meta Quest was looking great, crisp and big, but suddenly it stopped doing that. Since the latest update of Mixed Reality Link the display keeps the same resolution from my physical monitor, which makes it look squeezed and with big horizontal black bars in the Quest window. Hello, I am using the following: - M1 Mac Book Pro - MacOS 15.0.1 - Speaker device: FiiO K5 Pro - Microphone: Shure SM7B / Focusrite 2i2 Since updating the MacOS version I have a very strange effect: - Shortly after joining a call everything works fine, after some seconds my Microphone stops working / peers do not hear me anymore - I can resolve this by opening the microphone settings tab. It has to stay open during the whole call. - The test call always works fine, I can hear the robot and my recording. I guess because the call is too short for the problem to appear. What I tried: - Unsetting/resetting the "microphone" permission in MacOS - Reinstalling teams multiple times - Updated the Focusrite Drivers Do you have any ideas how to fix the issue?703Views1like3CommentsMSIX package and shortcut icons
I see some strange behavior and can't explain why it is not working. I am playing around with the MSIX package and shortcut icons. I created them using the Visual Asset generator (https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9mz6qrqtdkf2?hl=en-US&gl=US) and copied them to the Assets folder. When configuring the shortcuts with the files, the shortcuts and package logo stays blank. When I open the manifest and point the entries hardcoded to the files the icons appear. Like this config below. <Application Id="PSFLAUNCHERTwo" Executable="PsfLauncher2.exe" EntryPoint="Windows.FullTrustApplication"> <uap3:VisualElements AppListEntry="default" BackgroundColor="transparent" Description="Fair Prod" DisplayName="Fair Prod" Square150x150Logo="Assets\Edge-Square150x150Logo.scale-400.png" Square44x44Logo="Assets\Edge-Square44x44Logo.scale-400.png" VisualGroup="FCA"></uap3:VisualElements> </Application> But when removing the ".scale-400" part of the files, the icons would not appear. Anyone knows what I am doing wrong here?187Views0likes1CommentCustom Teams app works in browser app but not in desktop app
I've created a simple app using App Studio. It's basically 2 tabs that display 2 different SharePoint sites. I installed the app successfully, but when I access the app in Teams desktop, both tabs are blank. When I access the same app thru Teams in the browser, it displays both tabs/sites correctly. Has anyone seen this or know of a way to fix the issue? Most of our users use the desktop Teams app to access Teams. Hello, i cannot leave the insider program. Im in windows 11 beta channel right now. If i try to leave the proramm by settings -> windows update -> windows insider program i have two options. I should be able to choose to leave the program with the next windows release, but this option is blurred out and i can not interact with it. The other option is the link at the bottom, which redirects me to a microsoft website. After logging in, it also tells me i can not leave the program now because my mail adress isnt registered. But u dont have another mail adress. I already contacted the support about that, the case number is 7034906605. We tried to create a new user and leave the program by this, but it also didnt work. I also did a windows reinstall with keeping my personal files and data. I would like to get around this issue without having to completely reinstall my windows because its a long process. Is there any way you can get my PC out of the beta insider program please? Greetings, Johannes.1.8KViews0likes5Comments
