Microsoft Teams Chat Pasted Screenshot Image Disappears
When pasting a copied screen shot from the Snipping Tool into the chat, sometimes my images appear like this (See below image). It will show the preview for a split second in the chat window and then turn to this thumbnail... Once you click on the small image icon the image shows full-size but the thumbnail preview in the chat is not visible. This only happens every so often and can be fixed sometimes by restarting Teams to get the preview to show in the chat window. Is there anything I can do to fix this besides restarting? Does the person on the receiving end see it correctly or with the small image icon? Not sure what the fix here could be or if I'm doing something wrong. Not a huge issue but frustrating nonetheless.
PWA icon?
Hi, What does Edge use as a icon, when creating a PWA from a website? We created some PWA's of our websites for testing, but all of the PWA's just show a letter on a gray background. In Android, I can move a test website to the Home Screen, and it will show the correct icon. So I know the manifest & image is loading correctly from the index.html. I created some other PWA's from random sites, and they seem to work. So I'm a bit of a loss here what Edge is looking for, and where the image needs to be. cheers! rob
Problem with PWA icons on Start menu on Edge dev
When installing a website, such as Instagram, as PWA in Edge dev (Version 88.0.685.3), the Instagram icon appears in the apps list of Start menu, at the top under "recently added" list (not pinned yet). when you drag & drop it on the Start menu to Pin it, it will have a small centered icon. but if you go to edge://apps/ and Pin Instagram's icon from there then Instagram's icon will be in normal big size in the Start menu Left side is big and normal, right side is very small pea-sized icon created by drag & drop. Instagram is one of the websites used as example, the same thing happens to Twitter, YouTube, Bing etc (tried all of them). see if you can reproduce it and send feedback through browser (preferably with "recreate my problem") Windows 10 20H2 latest versionRemove the solid color square block from App icons in Windows settings => Apps
Remove the solid color square block from App icons in Windows settings => Apps to make the design consistent You've removed the solid color square from Appl icons in the start menu, now they have a nice trimmed look that are modern. but in Windows settings, app icons still have their solid color square, it makes things inconsistent and ugly. We had a new icon reported today from our Polycom VVX 410 phone users. Not on all phones, but on some. I have checked Polycom documentation and cannot find what the icons means. It almost looks like a battery indicator, but as far as I know, these phones do not have batteries. They are getting power from POE. Any ideas what this means? If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. We also have VVX 310 and VVX 600 model phones, but we have not seen this show up on those phones. this must be the 3rd time the vertical tabs icon has changed. the arrow changes when you switch between vertical and horizontal tab strips, which is a very nice little detail they paid attention to, i like it! the only thing that needs changing now is the new tab page icon the NTP icon is replaced everywhere (WDAG window, inPrivate mode window) but not on the regular Edge window. it should look like this (new) Not this (old) please send feedback.Missing icon in app admin panel when loading custom app created with app studio
Hello!. I have created a custom app with App Studio. It has completed the validation without errors and when uploading it to the Teams application panel, the icon does not appear. The app does display correctly when opened from Teams and contains the outline icon. Can someone tell me how to correct it? Although it appears correctly in Teams, I would like it to have its icon in the app administration panel. Thanks!
SPFx Extension: Retrieve associated hub site
Hi all, I'm fairly new to SPFx, so please be kind. I'm trying to achieve a fairly simple extension that works a little bit like a breadcrumb. Basically, it's a list containing three items: > Title of the page you are currently on > Site collection of that page > Associated Hub site For the time being, that has to be enough. I've managed to get the page and site collection fairly easily by using the pageContext. However, I am struggling to get the associated Hub site as well. I have been able to generate the Hub site id (by using the legacyPageContext), but now I am stuck. Can I retrieve a site by its ID? And can I select the Title of that page? Please forgive me if this is a really stupid question. As I said, I'm just dipping my toes into the SharePoint development world. PS: Any other ideas that would get me a similar result are appreciated 🙂
