Operation returned an invalid status code 'Forbidden'
Hi, I have a Stream video embedded on a page on our intranet, with ?domain_hint=investni.com&autoplay=true appended to the url. For most of our staff, this works ok. (permission has been given for all staff to view) For some, they are asked to log in (which we don't want) and then get the error: Operation returned an invalid status code 'Forbidden' see screenshot attached. OneDrive Direct Download Link
Hi all, My Problem and Question This question pertains to OneDrive for personal use. Microsoft recently made a change to the link format from the embed feature and made my direct download links obsolete. I would retrieve these links from the embed feature in OneDrive and the links looked like what's shown below. The link would directly serve the file to whomever accessed it without them ever having to interact with OneDrive. With the changes Microsoft recently made to OneDrive, is there a new way of getting links that have this functionality? Old link format (no longer works): https://onedrive.live.com/download?resid=XXXXXXXXXXX&authkey=XXXXXXXXXXX My Own Digging I've scoured several forums unable to find any solutions. I have found a temporary solution; however, the links generated via this method only have temporary authentication, so they expire after a day. Perhaps it could be a real solution if I could figure out how to get a permanent auth token for a personal OneDrive file. I'm retrieving the link from the GET request when clicking the download button on a file from a publicly shared link. Embed video does not play, stuck on loading
While usually the embed iframe makes dozens of requests at once, often it doesn't, apparently caching wrong request data that stops the content from being reloaded. It usually happens after one successful load of the iframe, in which it loads all packages within a couple of moments. Yet, if the page is reloaded, the iframe fails to load and does not resolve requests even if it was to throw an error. Instead, it only makes slow requests for Fragments with varying QualityLevels params. A clear cache reload works, but only sometimes and it is impractical. Clearing all cache data solves the issue until it is reloaded again. There is only one error on the console from the Streams page, but it also appears when the video works perfectly.
Styling for a Sharepoint list view page embedded in a Teams tab works in browser but not desktop app
I'm embedding a Sharepoint modern events list view page in a Teams tab, but because Msft has awkwardly mixed classic/modern ui experiences for the events list and hasn't yet got around to providing a modern version of list view pages, I can't use list view formatting to customize the rendering of the page. Because only the classic experience is available I'm forced to use jslink to make the list view look decent. The page itself looks fine and renders correctly in the browser version of Teams. But when opened in the app, all the styling is stripped out so it's unusable. To reproduce: Add a simple jslink rendering file to the list view web part in an events list. Embed the page in a Teams tab Compare results between the app and browser version. And by the way, if Msft didn't remove the "add to calendar" link when a modern events page is embedded, NONE of this would be necessary. Standard domino effect, rabbit hole development practices by our pals at Msft.
Embedding PowerPoint without sign in requirement
I am attempting to embed some PowerPoints into a webpage using the Embed feature from Office.com. I've created a Share link, Anyone with the Link can view. When I use the embed code on the webpage, every time it loads for another user it shows a login.micrsoftonline.com refused to connect error, I understand this is because login screens have been blocked in iframes. The issue is, I don't want the users to have to login, I want them to view the PowerPoint without needing a Microsoft account login. I have followed the instructions from this thread about pasting the share link into the embed code to get around this but now run into an issue with the iframe displaying a This link has been removed error instead. Any help would be greatly appreciated. ScottDoes stream count views from embedded sources?
I have embedded a video in a course on our Virtual Learning Environment. The page it is on counts 12 views by the VLE's stats. I also created a VLE item with a direct link to the page on Stream. The recording's page on Stream counts 7 views. Does the count on Stream's page include views via embedded versions? Should I report my total views at 19?Embed LinkedIn Content in SharePoint
LinkedIn has removed the Embed option so we can't grab code from posts that we want to highlight on our intranet home page (which is a (SharePoint Online Comm site). Any ideas on a workaround or another web part we could use? Does Microsoft have plans for a LinkedIn web part like they do for YouTube or Twitter?
