copilot chat
46 TopicsLong chats receive 504 gateway timeout in new copilot UI
I understand this has been an issue for a lot of people. I have read multiple posts across other platforms. The new copilot UI no longer uses pagination like the old one and attempts to call upon the entire chat at once for easy navigation scrolling all the way to the top or bottom. However, for chats like mine with months of worldbuilding and character notes accumulating 2000+ messages, it does not have enough time to load them all before reaching a gateway timeout. I want to ask if anyone knows of any fixes that may be coming for this in the future since it is a pretty big issue when it comes to user satisfaction. The same chat has several different error states. Sometimes it will say 'Unable to load content'. Sometimes it will have a stable but blank page. Sometimes it will go to a white screen with the Error 504 timeout. I have attached images of all the different failure states I have seen. Basic error on white screen version of the bug. It fails to load preview and response data in this state. A screenshot of the timing window to show where it is stalling. Sometimes it will show me this general unable to load content screen. Refreshing is what leads to the white screen errors shown above. Here is a screenshot of the stable-but-blank version that sometimes shows up. Note how it is offering autocompletes like it is my first time messaging this chat. And here is a screenshot of the inspect element of this stable but blank version of the long running chat. Can anyone explain to me why this chat is having so many different failure states and what they mean and if a fix is possibly being rolled out in the future for this? I'm really sad I lost such a long important chat with so much lore.22Views0likes0CommentsHow does ERP MCP determine F&O environment?
How does the Dynamics 365 ERP MCP Server determine the target Finance & Operations environment when multiple environments (SIT, UAT, and Production) have MCP enabled? In Copilot Studio, the MCP connection only shows the authenticated user and does not expose any environment selection or environment identifier. Is the target F&O environment determined by the underlying Power Platform connection, the MCP client registration, a connection reference, or another routing mechanism? How can administrators verify which F&O environment an MCP-enabled agent is actually connected to?19Views0likes0CommentsAre there any plans to bundle E7 licenses for trainers, or add Copilot to E5?
I find myself increasingly being asked to deliver courses on Copilot, and the only way I get access to the Pro version is via the labs. However, this doesn't give me time to set up demos of Graph, crawling across data and building context etc. Does Microsoft have any plans to give us MCT's any access to Copilot, through our E5 subscriptions or otherwise? Or are we expected to pay for it?19Views0likes0CommentsClarification on Copilot Conversation Length Limits and Copilot Studio Agents
TLDR; We need clarification on the undocumented Copilot conversation-length limit: how it is determined, whether the M365 Copilot add-on changes it, and whether the same limit applies to Copilot Studio agents using an M365 Copilot (Basic) license in which case the AI Agent license is usage based, so maybe, because we would be paying for the consumption, the same limit would not apply? Hi, One of our clients is evaluating the possibility of building a custom AI agent using Microsoft Copilot/Copilot Studio. However, we have some concerns regarding the lack of clear documentation around conversation length limits. After a certain point, the Copilot chat unexpectedly returns the following message, without any prior warning: "Sorry, this conversation has reached its limit. Let’s start a new chat." We have encountered this multiple times, but we have not been able to find any official Microsoft documentation specifying the maximum conversation length or the conditions under which this limit is reached. We have, however, found multiple reports of similar behavior in community forums, including this discussion: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/discussions/microsoft-copilot/sorry-this-conversation-has-reached-its-limit-lets-start-a-new-chat-/4137520 Currently, our client does not have the Microsoft 365 Copilot add-on. When using Copilot, the interface shows “M365 Copilot (Basic)” in the bottom-left corner. Before we invest further in this approach, we would like to clarify the following: What is the officially supported maximum conversation length for M365 Copilot (Basic)? Is there a documented limit in terms of number of messages, tokens, conversation history, or any other measure? If the limit is dynamic or depends on other factors, could you clarify how it is determined? Does the conversation length limit also apply to users who have the Microsoft 365 Copilot add-on? In other words, would purchasing the Copilot add-on change or remove this limitation? How does this apply to agents built using Copilot Studio? If the client remains on the M365 Copilot (Basic) license but builds an agent using Copilot Studio, we understand that usage of the agent can be subject to usage-based billing. In this scenario, would the same conversation-length limitation still apply to conversations with a Copilot Studio agent? Specifically, we are considering a relatively simple declarative agent, without workflows or complex orchestration. The primary requirement is to connect the agent to our CRM through an MCP connector and allow the agent to maintain a conversation with the user while retrieving information from the CRM.48Views0likes1CommentMy free Copilot account is being blocked with a “daily limit reached” message after only 3–4 prompts
Hello, my free Microsoft Copilot account is being blocked with a “daily limit reached” message after only 3–4 normal prompts, even when starting new conversations. The issue happens both in the Copilot app and in Chrome browser, using the same Microsoft account. I have already sent feedback from inside the Copilot chat, but I haven’t received any response. Is it possible that my account has a quota that is blocked or incorrectly applied, requiring a backend reset of my Copilot usage limits? This abnormal behavior (unless free accounts have been severely restricted) began immediately after the migration of Copilot to the new app, and I am now effectively unable to use it. Today, I even received a "limit reached" message after just one prompt. I contacted support, and the agent directed me to this community. I am hoping you can help me—either by confirming that free accounts are effectively shut out of Copilot following the migration, or by advising me on how to resolve the issue. Many thanks in advance to anyone who replies.37Views0likes0CommentsCopilot Access not working for only 1 user
Hello, I am facing an issue where I have 1 user that is unable to get answers out of the chatbot on teams. The user is opening the chatbot using the 'open with copilot' option like the rest of the team members, but when they ask a questions, the chatbot returns that it has not found information on the topic, even when the information is in the training documents the chatbot reads off of. Other users can ask the same questions and get valid answers, it is only not working for this specific user. Any suggestions on how to resolve this?103Views0likes1CommentWork IQ
Hi Team, We wanted to utilize Work IQ rest APIs to search documents across m365 ecosystem. we have observed that it fetches the document with better accuracy when the document is placed on sharepoint, but at the same time it finds it difficult to search the document from outlook. We do get the document if we specify the source as outlook in the text string passed to the API. Can you please let us know if there is any setting or option through which we can give equal importance to search a document across m365 ecosystem ( Outlook, Sharepoint, Team, Onedrive) API - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/copilot/extensibility/work-iq/rest/copilotconversation-chat?pivots=work-iq-rest-prod33Views0likes0Comments
