Hello all, I would like to configure purge such that it deletes all the files from all the sites that are older than X amount of years (based on last modified). If possible I would like to exclude lists, site assets/library. Can you please let us know if this is possible to configure using the Microsoft Purview modern portal?1.9KViews0likes1CommentSite Owners Can Remove Retention Labels
With a site owner I can remove/clear a retention label, but a member account can not. When a member attempts to remove a label I see the message "Error: The label that's applied to this item prevents it from being edited or deleted. Check the item's label for more details." One would think this would be the same behavior for an owner but that does not appear to be the case. Has anyone else observed this behavior? Does anyone know how to prevent site owners from removing retention labels?1.1KViews0likes1CommentDownload impossible despite IRM
Hi there, I have activated M365 E5 Compliance and Enterprise Mobility & Security E5 IRM via Powershell and in SharePoint AdminCenter in my test client with the license. I then turned on IRM in the appropriate library: When I open files in the Browser, IRM works: But it is possible to open the file in the browser, which happens with my own private Account instead of the dummy user Adele Vance: And when Adele just navigates to the library, she can also download the workbook and save it on my private desktop: Does anybody know what I have to do to prevent files from beeing downloaded? Why does IRM not work in this case? Thanks a lot in advance and kind regards, Sophie1.6KViews0likes3CommentsConfigure default Office 365 Label for library
In the Library UI it's possible to set a default compliance tag for a library using the hold.aspx page that is exposed through the "Apply a label to items in this library" option in the library settings menu. We can set an item to have a particular compliance tag through CSOM, but I can't see anywhere in the CSOM library that allows us to configure the default for an entire library. I'm in the process of configuring a large DMS solution for a client and having the ability to set this through CSOM or PoSH would save an immense amount of time. One of the challenges I hear from SharePoint Administrators / Intranet Managers all the time is: We put important information out there in our document library for our users, but they just don't seem to pay attention or know about it. We email them, put it in the newsletter, etc and still they complain that we never told them. It's frustrating! How do we 'push' info to them when they need it and get verification that they saw it? That's a very valid concern that I have heard way too many times. Following video shows a possible solution to how you can push the info to them contextually And get verification that they saw it. Any others you guys can think of?Solved1.4KViews1like3Comments
