Dear reader, I go to high school. My laptop is school property. When I enter Microsoft Teams, I changed my profile picture to something new instead of my previous one. Everything synced in two days. Except teams meetings. Whenever I meet, its still displays the old picture. When I DM someone, it shows the new one. It already synced for all of my other Office 365 apps, just not when I meet in Microsoft Teams.Solved675KViews4likes43CommentsMicrosoft Teams Call Volume too Quiet
My company recently switched to Microsoft Teams for our conference calls, and an issue I'm having involves call volumes when taking calls over headphones vs. laptop speakers. I typically take calls through my headphones, where volume changes work as expected. However, if I disconnect my headphones to listen to the meeting through the laptop speakers, the volume changes. For a split-second the volume will be at the correct level, and immediately afterwards will reduce so low that it's almost impossible to hear (think listening to headphones without having them in your ears). Despite this, my computer and Teams both claim the volume is at 100%, but this can't possibly be true. Any suggestions?502KViews13likes73CommentsBluetooth audio out stops when using Teams
Hi everyone. I have a pair of Taotronics Soundliberty 79 earbuds. They've pair fine with my laptop running Win 10 and work for listening to music. I've also tested joining a Google Meets meeting and audio works fine in both directions. However, when I join a MS Teams meeting after a minute or two I can no longer hear audio through my earbuds, but the microphone continues to work and others can hear me. I need to go to device settings in Teams and switch to PC speaker/mic then back to the earbuds to restore audio which only lasts a couple of minutes before dropping out again. Does anyone have suggestions on how to resolve this?Solved166KViews10likes68CommentsMissing "Join" button in Microsoft Teams
The "Join" button is missing in my neighbor's Microsoft Teams. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it but it still doesn't show. I've tried using a smartphone and it works there. Trying it in the MS Teams browser version, it doesn't let her log in. I've tried logging in her account in my PC and it works, also the browser version works too. Everything works on my end except her PC. The photos attached are from her PC and the other one is my PC.162KViews3likes14CommentsTeams audio (input and output) not working with Remote Desktop, audio input/output in other apps OK
Hello, Microsoft Teams does not play (output) or record (input) audio, when trying Teams call on a remote PC (connected with Windows Remote Desktop client). Sony WH-1000XM2 headphones connected to the local PC Remote Desktop audio settings in the local PC: Audio test on the remote PC with https://online-voice-recorder.com/ -> recording and playback OK (everything I recorded with the headphones can be heard via the headphones) Audio test on the remote PC with Teams: with the only available settings for Audio devices (Custom Setup), Speaker (Remote Audio), Microphone (Remote Audio) -> Make a test call Bell ringing, but when connection to Teams Echo established, then no audio can be heard If I hang up the call, I can hear the Teams Echo voice for a while, say sub-second Microsoft Teams version 1.3.00.28779 (64-bit). Any fix proposals would be appreciated. Thanks.Solved132KViews0likes9CommentsMicrosoft Teams Freezes PC
I have observed that the Microsoft Teams desktop app freezes my HP laptop. This is the 3rd experience on this laptop and the laptop is newly purchased, running on Windows 10 Home edition, has a RAM of 4.00GB (3.42 usable) and an AMD Raedeon Graphics CPU 2.30GHz. I was wondering if the problem occurs because of the client file or the laptop specs. I tried solving the problem by deleting the Teams files from the AppData folder and the Temp files then reinstalling the client file to no avail. I’ve monitored the app’s performance on Task Manager while on Teams calls and it shows a CPU usage of 100% and freezes the PC completely, but the audio of the calls is unaffected. Please urgently advise as this is affecting my schoolwork and class attendance. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Michelle DuruSolved116KViews4likes45CommentsTest call option not showing up in Teams?
Hi I've downloaded a personal version of Teams and need to test it. However, the 'Test call' option is not available? I've tried 2 methods: 1) typing 'Test call' in the search bar and pressing enter - nothing happens when I do this! 2) going to Settings then Devices then checking for the 'Test call' option - but it's not there! I've attached what I can see when I got to Devices and what I should be able to see (from a video I watched online) I'm using Version 1.4.00.22472 (64-bit). Can anyone please advise?113KViews2likes16CommentsStill Connecting to Remote Devices. Calling isn't Avaliable yet.
I'm having an issue where a number of users are coming back to the office to work at their desks, when they're trying to call people or join meetings they are getting an error saying: "There's a problem with your connection. Still connecting to remote devices. Calling isn't available yet." I originally thought that maybe the user had an active remote session at home, after checking any active remote sessions and even doing a reboot of the system this error still comes up. I've uninstalled Teams and reinstalled it, disconnected all devices and plugged them back in but still nothing. We're currently using VMWare Horizon as our remote solution, this error only started happening after teams pushed out the Horizon performance update. The only way I've been able to fix this issue is to uninstalled the Horizon Agent from the users desktop but I obviously don't want to be uninstalling and reinstalling Horizon Agent every time a user comes into the office to work. Has anyone else seen this issue and managed to fix it?Solved107KViews0likes4CommentsIncrease video quality for screen sharing.
Am I alone in finding the video quality for screen sharing borderline unacceptable? It seems to cap out at 1080P with very strong compression at a low framerate. My company are all software developers with high end computers and gigabit internet connections yet we can't screen share a lot of the stuff we're doing in Teams due to the compression killing contrast between text elements and the low framerate making it difficult to follow. For reference, the workstation I'm using is a Ryzen 9 3900X with 64GB of RAM and a RTX 2080Ti with fibre gigabit coming in right under the desk and my colleagues' setups are similar. Can Microsoft enable a higher quality video mode to make Teams competitive with less convenient streaming software?Solved104KViews10likes18Comments
