As of recent, my organizational outlook email, as well as other people who are associated with different organizations are having an issue on the Safari browser such that Outlook keeps attempting to download a TokenFactory IFrame component. This file has no data, and I have only found that I can reproduce the issue on Safari. This seems to be an issue with two-factor authentication, but I'm not entirely sure.42KViews0likes17CommentsMS Teams stealing the focus when presenter switches into/out-of screen sharing...
I am using Microsoft Teams Version 1.4.00.11161 (64-bit). It was last updated on 4/22/2021. Ever since the latest release, it has been stealing the focus from other applications. It does this consistently whenever I am on a video call and one of the other participants switches into (or out of) screen-sharing mode. By "stealing focus" I am specifically saying that if I am focused on any other application on either of my 2 screens, and the other person on the call switches into or out of screen-share on their machine, then my local MS-Teams app window forcibly comes to the top/foreground window and grabs the focus away from whatever other window/app I was in. It forces me to alt-tab back to that application to continue. And before you ask: Yes, I reported this via the "Report a Problem" link in the application as well. I just am so frustrated by this that I felt the need to report it here too, maybe to see just how many others are experiencing this behavior as well. MS Teams: PLEASE FIX THIS HORRIFIC BEHAVIOR! Sincerely, Rich LarsonSolved25KViews13likes31CommentsEdge browser 100% CPU, requires Force Quit (macOS Mojave and v91.0.864.48)
I'm reporting a problem I've experienced with Edge since I began using it six months ago. After using Edge for a few hours, it will begin using 100% CPU. According to the Task Manager, it is the "Browser" thread that is using this CPU. If I Quit the application, all the windows close but it doesn't fully quit; I have to do command-option-esc to open the Force Quit window (where it says "Microsoft Edge (not responding)" and then I'm able to Force Quit it. When I relaunch it and re-open the web pages I was using, it works fine (until later that day or the next day, when the process repeats). Does anyone know how I can troubleshoot this so I can file a useful bug report? This has happened many times over the past 6 months, over many different Edge versions (I'm always using the latest stable version). I'm not able to reproduce the issue when I want, but it happens regularly every or every-other day. I'm using macOS Mojave 10.14.6 on a 2015 MacBook Pro. Edit: It just happened again, so I took some screenshots and attached them below.16KViews6likes34CommentsMac Desktop Client not working with External Webcams
The desktop mac client is no longer reading other webcams other than the default. The web client is still reading my other webcam. After restarting twice and troubleshooting, I am unable to determine why. This was not a problem yesterday and feels like it's due to a recent update. Specifically the EOS webcam utility and CamTwist are not being read.Solved9.3KViews0likes10CommentsBeing able to hide the "unsecured site" bar on an Edge installed application
Hello, Could you add an option in the browser to be able to hide the unsecured site (the green box on the screenshot) bar when installing a site as an application? The application in the screenshot below is my company's private Gitlab and I always have this bar displayed ; same for my personal Netflix... it's a bit annoying Thank you in advance8.5KViews0likes7CommentsCollapsible sections: Linking to auto-expand a section and non-effective Search
As already discussed in some previous threads collapsible sections have a lowered functionality when being linked to; even though Section headers have anchor links, these have very limited function as they only bring you to the overall page with all sections. This is especially useless when you are trying to keep the page clean by collapsing your sections by default. The thread presents a workaround by adding an additional header within your collapsed section, which will open the section on landing, but you will end up with a redundant header: Collapsible section name Collapsible section name (redundant) This is less than ideal and means always repeating your section names, it also doesn't work properly when you want to link from one section to another on the same page. Additionally, if you try searching your Site for a keyword contained in one of the sections, not only will it not bring you to the paragraph containing the keyword, it will only open the page with all sections collapsed and with a focus on the very top of the page. Therefore there is no point in searching when you decided for Collapsible section organization for your pages, the Sharepoint basically tells you "It is somewhere on this page". You still need to expand each section and either scan the page to find the searched keyword, or use Ctrl+F. Is there a way to report this to the actual developers so they can implement web functions that have existed since 1991? anchor link opens the page, moves the section title to the top of focus and opens a collapsed section (perhaps this could be a toggle in section options) clicking a result in Sharepoint search does the above and additionally highlights the searched keyword within the section Thanks for reading.8.4KViews3likes3CommentsHow do I report an issue or bug found in SharePoint Online from within Tech Community?
Just wondering how one is supposed to report an issue or bug found in SharePoint Online within this Tech Community area? I wrote up a clear bug almost a year ago and have heard nothing back from Microsoft despite tagging it with all sorts of things like Bug report, bug, issue, etc. Here is the bug report: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/sharepoint/list-properties-web-part-showing-unselected-fields-after-item-is/m-p/2615537/emcs_t/S2h8ZW1haWx8dG9waWNfc3Vic2NyaXB0aW9ufEtSWjBRRkNGWEtOQ1oxfDI2MTU1Mzd8U1VCU0NSSVBUSU9OU3xoSw#M52668 Be great to know what happens to bug reports, and also to hopefully get (after nearly a year) Microsoft's eyes on this particular bug (link above). Is anyone noticing major rendering issues with the SharePoint Online News web part? The issues are similar to this post... https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/sharepoint/changes-to-top-story-news-web-part/m-p/2586536 ...but the impact is also on other 'Layout' types. It is almost as if Microsoft have broken their CSS or something, as the images used in news item banners are rendering as full size, rather than being cropped and having a gradient applied (to ensure text is readable in the web part). My configuration of the web part is as shown below (or attached), and I can confirm that this issue is happening in multiple tenants, and mulitple site collections. In fact, I can't find any site collection where this issue ISN'T occurring. Be very keen to hear of others experiencing this, and would be grateful if others could test this in their own tenants to see how widescale the problem is. Recently I started having issues with teams, I believe it could be related to recent update. My audio will cut out for a short period of time when I receive system notifications. After receiving the notification the I can't hear the any audio for the call/meeting that is in progress for least a few seconds and could be closer to 10 seconds. This has been happening when I get notifications from various sources including outlook and MS teams. After a few seconds and clicking around to get focus back on the meeting the audio will come back. This issues is very frustrating as I find myself asking team members to repeat themselves because I've missed what was just said. I'm starting to consider other solutions for meetings to avoid this issue. I've enjoyed MS teams as our default tool for calls and meeting for over a year and hope this issue will be addressed quickly. My configuration is using system microphone with SoundBot Bluetooth headphones. I don't think it related directly to my audio configuration. I've had other team members complaining of the same thing recently.5KViews1like3CommentsWindows 11 cannot display second in taskbar
