How can i make it so that my customers can book a 5 minute seassion or a 3 hour seasson? It seems now they can only make a reservation for a pre-set time that i decide? I need my customers to be able to make a reservation for any length they want... not be restricted!! Anyone able to help me fix this?16KViews6likes14CommentsOffice 365 Bookings - Custom time slots
Hi, I wonder if someone could assist. I have been looking into Bookings within Office 365 to use within the organisation I work for. The idea is that I would like to set it up in such as way that members of staff could book out equipment, such as laptops for doing presentations. The issue is that there doesn't seem to be a way to choose a custom time slot? For example, staff member 1 would like to use laptop1 from 9am until 1PM, staff member 2 would like to use laptop1 the following day, but all day. It seems as though you can only select minimum time allocations? Like 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours etc for the same laptop? I understand this is probably just aimed at pre-booked services like dentist appointments, car servicing etc things that take a specific amount of time, but it would be nice if there was more flexibility with this. Maybe there is and I've just missed something blatantly obvious? Any help/info on this would be greatly appreciated!991Views2likes0CommentsM365 E5 vs. Office 365 E5 Regarding Business Apps (Free) - Specifically Bookings
SO, super confused on this. We have M365 E5 License (primarily), Office365 Business Premium, and Office 365 Business Essentials licenses in our tenant. I am trying to get the Bookings app to be available to our M365 E5 users, but can't seem to get it to work. I had a test user with O365 BP created and it works without having to do anything. I can even add the M365 users as admins to the Bookings site/calendar, but when I try to login to the bookings site online (https://outlook.office365.com/owa/?path=/bookings/calendar) with an M365 E5 user it says that I don't have access and that licenses have changed recently. So, a couple of questions/clarifications: What version of office is included with M365 E5? Is it O365 E5? O365 E3, O365 BP, something else? The reason being that Bookings states that it only works with BP, O365 E3, and E5 versions. How does this work/not-work across different MS/Office licenses? IE - why does it work with BP vs M365 E5? Do the organization level changes described here need to be applied to affect the M365 E5 users? https://support.office.com/en-us/article/get-access-to-microsoft-bookings-5382dc07-aaa5-45c9-8767-502333b214ce https://support.office.com/en-us/article/turn-microsoft-bookings-on-or-off-for-your-organization-c27537fa-525e-47a8-aadf-9b07ee75c227?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US Sorry, please ask for any clarifying information that I can provide. Note I am not an admin on this tenant and am relying on our Service Provider to do the above-referenced changes to our apps/settings/etc. and make sure everything is set up correctly. It is very difficult for me to sit back and take their word for it that everything was done correctly, so are there any ways I can verify any of the settings without admin access?15KViews2likes10CommentsMicrosoft Places individual desk booking is not working
Hi, Following the documentation, https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/places/configure-desk-booking, I successfully ran the shared command lines without any errors. However, on Microsoft Places, I am unable to see individual desks appear; only desk pools are visible. Has anyone managed to get this to work? Hi, our organization is currently planning to offer training with two external trainers (not part of our org). We want to manage the appointments with Bookings. Therefore I've created a new bookings calendar and added the two trainers with their mail addresses in the staff control panel and assigned both of them to the service. The training sessions should be arranged as a teams meeting, therefore I activated the checkbox. Unfortunately no teams invite link will be sent once an appointment is booked. I tried to add an interal staff from our organization and booked an appointment and it works like charm, teams link is attached. So it seems the problem is with the external staff. Do you know any solution for that? Creating the external staff in AAD as a guest, doesn't fix the problem - also the required licences have been assigned - still the same problem.1.5KViews2likes0CommentsMake Bookings calendar events private by default?
Hi everyone! We are currently attempting to use Microsoft Bookings with external people. When someone books an appointment with us, a calendar entry that includes the full name of the person booking the appointment is created in the staff's calendar. The staff's calendar is visible throughout the entire organization, meaning everyone can see who scheduled an appointment with us. This is a privacy issue for us. Making these appointments private in the Outlook calendar would be a solution, but I can't seem to find an option to make Bookings appointments private by default. Changing calendar permissions is also not an option for our organization. I was also not successful in building a flow with Power Automate since linking the booking to a meeting turned out to be difficult. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!422Views1like2CommentsIs there an automated dashboard for bookings?
I'm a solopreneur and don't have time or resources to always be downloading and uploading exports, changing them to excel files and opening them, just to find out simple things like number of bookings in a given month, number of bookings per customer, etc. Is there a simple solution for a non-tec user like me to quickly and easily guage how my billable time and bookings are going? Also, I set up a booking page for each client/organization I work with so that their teams can all sign up for time with me under one page, allowing me to track usage and time as well as set date paramaters for each session. It is only me. With the personal bookings, I can't offer multiple services under one booking page...or at least haven't found it. Any suggestions on the best approach?64Views1like2Comments
