hi All, when I send an e-mail, I often " attach" a reminder to it because I would like to be reminded of my e-mail in order to check if the recipient has gotten back to me. This allows me to shoot but not forget 🙂 As teams is gaining ground in our organisation I'm trying to find similar feature as I'm not able to keep track of posts by just scrolling through them every time... Any ideas how I can be reminded of posts I did? Any feedback is welcome Regards charles343KViews2likes8CommentsProfile pictures not updating/syncing in Teams
Hi. Profile pictures set via the following PowerShell line are not being pushed to Teams specifically. Set-UserPhoto "User" -PictureData ([System.IO.File]::ReadAllBytes("C:\Documents\Pictures\Company Employees Photo\user.jpg")) It took little time to change in Office 365 services like Delve, SharePoint, OWA (strangely, never ever the Admin Portal on Office365) and about a day for this to reflect in desktop Outlook running cached mode but nothing seems to be happening in Teams. It's been four days now waiting for some photos to populate. I'm using Teams on the web as reference so as to not worry about any caching. How does Teams sync info like profile photos with other Office365 services and is there a way this can be forced? Is this even possible to manage centrally via Office365 or are photos left to end users to configure? Since Teams is largely commercial, I would think it can't be the latter. I was wondering if there might be some Teams policy that is preventing profile photos from syncing but cannot find any looking at the myriad of default policies applies in the Teams Admin Console on Office365. Is there a nifty PowerShell command I can use to easily check?233KViews0likes4CommentsMicrosoft Teams News: Wiki Page Retiring in January 2024 & There Are Things You Must Do
Before saying "Peace Out" to Wiki Page in January 2024, you must do some things. This in-depth video discusses what to expect, Microsoft's timelines, and a guide to completing the transition. Now, you can work your magic - efficiently! Hello Everyone, While installing Microsoft Teams, the error message described in the subject line is thrown. Am running Microsoft Windows Version - 1909 A couple of troubleshooting tips found on https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/MicrosoftTeams/troubleshoot-installation have been tried but the error still shows up. Any idea on how to resolve this issue will be greatly appreciated. UPDATES I did a comparison of 2 SquirrelSetup.log files. (Both PC runs Windows 1909 and the same build number. The PC 1(Throwing up the JavaScript error above)logged some issues not found in the PC 2 as shown below: ----start---- ApplyReleasesImpl: Couldn't run Squirrel hook, continuing: C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Teams\current\Teams.exe: System.OperationCanceledException: The operation was canceled. at System.Threading.CancellationToken.ThrowOperationCanceledException() at Squirrel.Utility.<>c__DisplayClass11_0.<InvokeProcessAsync>b__0() at System.Threading.Tasks.Task.InnerInvoke() at System.Threading.Tasks.Task.Execute() --- End of stack trace from previous location where exception was thrown --- at System.Runtime.CompilerServices.TaskAwaiter.ThrowForNonSuccess(Task task) at System.Runtime.CompilerServices.TaskAwaiter.HandleNonSuccessAndDebuggerNotificat ion(Task task) at Squirrel.Utility.<InvokeProcessAsync>d__11.MoveNext() --- End of stack trace from previous location where exception was thrown --- at System.Runtime.CompilerServices.TaskAwaiter.ThrowForNonSuccess(Task task) at System.Runtime.CompilerServices.TaskAwaiter.HandleNonSuccessAndDebuggerNotificat ion(Task task) at Squirrel.UpdateManager.ApplyReleasesImpl.<>c__DisplayClass18_1.<<invokePostInsta ll>b__2>d.MoveNext() ---end---- FURTHER UPDATES Many suggestions found on GitHub, Microsoft support site, blogs and other websites have been tried. So after spending several hours googling and searching for a working solution, the following finally worked on the PC in question. A standard user account was created on the PC. Downloaded a new Microsoft teams app. In services.msc, the status of a service called Quality Windows Audio Video Experience was also manually started. Executed the app and no JavaScript error was thrown. N.B: I am still not satisfied with this fix, cos i applied the same troubleshooting approach on another PC throwing up the same JavaScript error, and the fix doesn't work on it. 🙂Solved205KViews1like11CommentsForce Teams desktop client update
Hi all, I've recieved several questions about this and I'm also seeing too many topics about it here in the community. We all know about the update process for Teams as described here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/teams-client-update and here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/update-microsoft-teams-535a8e4b-45f0-4f6c-8b3d-91bca7a51db1 for example. But sometimes you're just stuck as nothing happens when trying to clear the cache, reset the app, update and/or reinstall. This is an easy way to force an update of the desktop app (even though most updates happen backend). 1. Look for the latest version seen, one place to do it https://whatpulse.org/app/microsoft-teams 2. Copy the version number and paste it in the link below and hit enter. In my example, and at the time of writing, I'm updating to version 1.3.00.33971. https://statics.teams.cdn.office.net/production-windows-x64/1.3.00.33971/Teams_windows_x64.exe I've been struggling with this myself some time ago knowing features being released backend but didn't show up in my desktop client. After this process the client was updated and the features appeared for me as well. Hope this will prevent some of you going mad.Solved171KViews4likes36CommentsUse of Teams Calendar and Outlook Calendar
I have created a Team for use within a specific Group of which all members use Office 365 and the Outlook Calendar to plan time off, meetings etc. To improve collaborative working I would like details on personal calendars (and respective group calendars) to be visible on the Teams Calendar so that all information relating to Team Members diversions etc are shown in one area. Is this possible with what Teams provides or do I need to procure an additional App/Plug in. Can anyone please provide details of how I do this so that it can be presented to the Team during a call later this week. The aim of doing this is to reduce the need for Team members to have to update numerous Calendars and planning Sheets and to have all information in one place to assist and enhance planning. Many thanks156KViews1like5CommentsEmail with Teams
I am new to trying to figure out the integration of teams into our environment. We rely heavily on distribution lists. I'm personally used to shared mailboxes, but our end users are not. How can I get emails coming into the teams address to forward out like a distribution list into the team members inbox? Thank you for your help.145KViews4likes13CommentsWhy Teams is slowing down my Mac?
It's been a while since I've been having issues with my MacBook Pro 16" performance while using teams for example in a call or in a live event, and I can't even think of having the app open while editing a video or editing some graphics in Illustrator or Photoshop... Microsoft Teams "Helper" is using over 1 GB of RAM while just open + 200 mb the app itself, while in a call gets crazy... Has anyone having this issue?? My Mac's system overview is: - MacPro 16" 2019 - 2.6 GHz 6-Core i7 - 16 gb RAM - AMD Radeon Pro 5300 4GB - Intel UHD 630 - 520 SSD Help please!!!Solved143KViews5likes33Comments
