I cannot remove an old sing account from Teams on Mac OS. I have to delete the keychain, I delete the temp folder, and remove and reinstall Teams, and the old account is still there. I have a case open with the Microsoft team, and they cannot figure it out. Where is the login info store, and why has Microsoft not provided a solution where users can remove accounts as easily as they can add? Please help!28KViews2likes36CommentsNew Teams Version Approvals Not In Channels
In the latest version you can no longer request an approval in a channel. Instead you need to go to the Approvals section in the side bar, then you can make a general approval request. Is it going to be added back into discussion channels at some point? The current button for Approvals in the channel + button just brings up a search bar that doesn't seem to work.257Views2likes3CommentsHow do I get accurate dates for messages?
On a regular basis, Teams will show messages that are as old as a week ago as being sent "today". Is there a way of actually ensuring that the date is correct, or should this just be expected behavior? I tell you, I really miss Skype at this point. I don't know how Microsoft can mess up this badly on a chat program.26Views0likes0CommentsTeams Calling Policies Rollout
I have been working on screen pops for inbound PSTN calls, specifically the "Open apps in browser for incoming PSTN calls" & "URL to open apps in browser for incoming PSTN calls" settings in Calling Policies. Is there any documentation on how the whole policy application process works in Teams? It seems to be frustratingly inconsistent. My experiences with updating the link used in calling policies with Windows Desktop clients: During the first production rollout, it took days for some clients to pick up changes to the link. I am logging which pop screen is activated and saw that some picked up the change in a couple of hours, but a few here and there took a couple of days. One lone straggler never picked up the policy change even after having him restart the app, then logout out of Teams and restart. He finally picked up the change after I toggled a policy switch off and on saving twice in between. If picked up within a few minutes. During testing this week, I changed the link in the calling policy, and it did not take effect even after 24 hours on the test clients. I again made a couple of tweaks to the policy, saved the policy, reversed the changes, saved again and within a few minutes, the policy applied to the test clients. A day later, I opened a client using the same Teams account on a different computer and it still had the old policy. Several hours later, it was still using the old settings. Signing out/into teams and restarting the app did not trigger an update to policies. About twelve hours ago, I made a policy change and so far, the client hasn't picked up the change. I shut down Teams, deleted the %appdata%\Teams folder and restarted the app. Interestingly, the %appdata%\Teams folder has not been recreated. Most apps recreate their folder right at launch, but it's been half an hour. The client is still using the old link setting. Questions: Does anyone know if the 24 hours for policies to deploy is for the cloud to deploy, or for the client to check for updates? Does anyone know a reliable way to force a desktop client to refresh policies? Do certain policy changes trigger a more immediate rollout? I seem to remember the Lync/Skype For Business clients having a scheduled update cycle for policies, but there were ways to force it to refresh by deleting files/folders, specific setting or running commands. Testing aside, the fact that a policy change was never picked up in a week by at least one client, makes me wonder how many clients are running on outdated policies that we can't verify.19Views0likes0CommentsNetwork connectivity test is not accurate to my Internet service
Hi everyone, I have a problem when I test my connection to Microsoft Teams; I live in Bolivia and my Internet flows through Chile; everything is OK, but when the test is for Microsoft Teams, all the traffic goes from Chile to Brazil making my conections latency not good, sometimes more than 100ms (the threshold is 100ms). When I try ping/traceroute, latency is like 30ms; however with Microsoft connectivity test is almost 100ms all the time. Anyone have the same problem?60Views0likes2CommentsBetter way to view employees' schedules?
Howdy, y'all. I've just been hired into a new office, and as the only member of Gen Z to be employed, I've been summarily appointed to the media committee, which includes thinking through the ways that we communicate with one another effectively. The issue that's driving me up a wall at the moment is our calendar management. We have an Excel sheet saved as a tab within one of our Teams channels that lists every employee's status in the office for every day of the year. This is helpful for a couple of reasons: We work in healthcare and must have one person on-call at all times. There are two on-call shifts per day; one from 8 AM to 8 PM, and one from 8 PM to 8 AM. There must be a minimum number of staff people working during regular weekdays (that is, aside from the on-call staffer, we must also be able to see that there are at least a couple people aside from the on-call person who are in the office during a regular week, so that the office isn't completely empty around Christmas and so on). For this, we usually look at the row for the day of the month and the column for the employee's name, with the intersecting cell being filled in with the time of their shift. In addition to the two on-call shifts per day, one person will be designated as "substitute" for one 24-hour period. If either the AM or PM on-call person call out, the substitute will clock in to replace them. Further, there is a staffer who is designated as the support member for an entire week's time. Should the on-call person have questions or concerns, the support member will be able to answer their call at any time during the week. We typically have it color-coded so we know by taking a glance at the day who is on AM, who is on PM, who is substituting, and who is backup. This is an example: Staff A Staff B Staff C Staff D Staff E Staff F Staff G Friday 8/1 8a-8p 8a-4:30p 8p-8a 8a-4:30p 8a-4:30p 8a-4:30p Saturday 8/2 OFF 8a-8p 8p-8a OFF OFF OFF Sunday 8/3 8p-8a OFF 8a-8p OFF OFF OFF Monday 8/4 OFF 8p-8a OFF 8a-8p 8a-4:30p 8a-4:30p Tuesday 8/5 8a-8p OFF OFF 8p-8a 8a-4:30p 8a-4:30p Wednesday 8/6 8a-4:30p 8p-8a OFF 8a-8p 8a-4:30p 8a-4:30p KEY: AM on-call PM on-call Support Obviously, this way of keeping track of things is archaic and has led to chaos. Is there a better way somewhere in Teams/Outlook/SharePoint calendar, or in some other application that can connect to this workspace? We are converting our user base from Skype to teams, a few things that are standing out as issues: 1) sync between mobile and desktop, still not working, skype goes away next week, when will this be fixed, HUGE ISSUE for user base 2) Some users are reporting that when they respond in a chat, that their reply is showing up above the next statement from the other participant, its very confusing and fastly becoming an issue. 3)Emoji's, will these be changed to a non-animated emoji? :) 4) issues installing and getting messages about "personal accounts not allowed" not clear how to get around this isxue, generally windows updates/uninstalls multiple times and eventually it works? Thanks for any ideas on these issues!199Views0likes3CommentsAuto-start minimized in system tray?

Hello! Has anyone encountered this before - some users are receiving Teams notifications for meetings they are not invited to. So User 1 creates a Teams meeting with User 2. User 3 is receiving Teams notification about this meeting. All 2 users are in the same department so I wonder if this is linked somehow to a group they may all be part of? However, I cannot sign into the app with the account on the iphone app. After entering my password or going through Authenticator, I receive a message: No Teams orgs yet Looks like you're not using Teams yet. Check that you've been invited by the org you're trying to sign in to. You can also set up Teams for your org by selecting Create new account. I have already searched extensively but couldn't find any solutions that worked. Have uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times.
