My normal chat bar has been replaced by the file sharing bar. How do I return to a normal chat bar??

Is there a way to create custom Chat sections other than Pinned and Recent?
Under Chat you can pin a particular chat and it will show under a "Pinned" section that can be collapsed / expanded, besides the "Recent" section that is always there. As you start pinning more conversations the Pinned section can get more cluttered. Is there a way to create custom sections? For example to group people from TeamA so I can find their contacts easily instead of having to search for them. Note that I don't want to send a message to multiple people at once, the idea is to be able to quickly find the contacts that are available from a given group. This feature is available on Slack (custom sections) and it was really useful to me, before I moved to my current employer which uses Teams instead.

Teams Copying text includes persons name
Hello, sometimes at my work we send each other links to files/folders on our internal server. The only problem is in teams when you do that you get the persons name instead of the link. So they sent me a link to a folder, I select the link in the text and copy it. However if past that into windows explorer I just get the time and their name. [15:12] Firstname Lastname Is there a way to get it to not include the Firstname Lastname when you copy a message? kind regards, Andrew

Teams missing GIF option in messaging
This morning we noticed the GIF option in Teams messaging is missing org wide. Desktop and Web client. Old messages that were sent with a GIF display as a link now instead of the image Our global org policy in the Admin porta is set to On Anyone else seeing this?

Ability to take Personal Notes on Interactions in TEAMS
I have a lot of situations where I would like to take and keep personal notes associated to a specific TEAMS interactions. I don't want to have to keep my notes in a separate place like OneNote or Outlook. Requests Don't make the notes public for all of the participants (possibility to add a private tab to the interaction window in TEAMS Access the notes directly through the window in TEAMS for the Chat, phone call, or meeting

On Mac, when switching between desktops to select teams app, it wouldn't be the active window.
On Mac, If I have teams app on a different desktop than the current one and when I do cmd+tab to select the teams app, it would take me to that desktop but teams app wouldn't be the active window and further I have to click with the mouse to make it the active window (or I have to cmd+tab to another app in the same desktop as teams and one more cmd+tab to teams to make it active) is painful. Kindly fix it.

Set your own Nickname on Teams
When I tag someone using @, Teams copy the person name in the post, right? But I know many people that don't like their name or their name is too long or super difficult to rear/pronounce or they like nicknames, like me 🙂 Then my idea why not let people set their nickname on Teams? then, when someone tags myself, for instance, it will not appear "Hey Francisco Mello" but "Hey Chico" 🙂 I TRULY BELIEVE THAT WILL BOOST PEOPLE COMMUNICATION AND INTERACTION!

Moving from skype to teams does not migrate my chat history
Hello, I have tried to login to teams using my skype username. It prompt me to merge my skype account with my personal email. I clicked yes. it successfully logged me in into Ms Teams. I cannot see my skype chat history into teams and also not all of my contacts are there. I have enabled skype account contacts to sync from Settings => People => Sync contact => Manage but still not all contacts are synced and no chat history at all. Anyone knows how can I import the chat history as well? Thank you in advance

Stop Teams from pinning my message
Teams keep pinning my messages without me asking it to. Very irritating that I then have to unpin it. And embarrassing, because it's visible to everyone -- everyone in the chat can see that you pinned and then unpinned a message. Aaargh!

Apps not available in Private Channels
I have been in love with Microsoft teams and have enjoyed using it for my company. However I have been quite disappointed by the fact that I’m not allowed to have apps like Calendar or Tasks in private channels. It is super important for myself (I would also assume for others who also have a business) to have private channels separate from the main Team. The reason being, I orchestrate certain tasks only to the people in the office and only want them to be able to see and not the others which are not. On top of that, I would like to assign tasks to the people in the private chat and not allow the others to be able to see them. I hope this is possible and I’d like to thank the Microsoft team for their revolutionary product that’s helped us be more organized. Thank you!
