https://youtu.be/GL360ot95YE I read an article in the news last week about a viral TikTok video that was urging people to be careful what they share with colleagues in Teams chat because employers can see all chat messages and chat history. As a result, I decided to create a video answering the question: Can your employer view your Microsoft Teams chat history? Spoiler alert: the answer is Yes. However, as I explain in the video, this capability is typically only used when an employer has a reason to use it and more often than not these reasons tend to be extraordinary (i.e. Investigations of unethical behaviour, whistleblower complaints, allegations or harassment or other). Further, I also explain the types of controls and processes that are put in place to govern this capability and ensure its not misused. Lastly, in the latter part of the video I also demonstrate how an employer can view your chat history as its nowhere near as simple as "pull up someone's instance of Microsoft Teams and look through there chats".341KViews0likes6CommentsUnknown User displayed in chats
Hi All, Some of our employees have a list of Unknown users displayed while the "Unknown User" is an active user in AD/AAD/O365. I picked one affected employee and reinstalled Office 365 and Teams but the issue reoccured after a while. I've found a previous post which has not been solved from 2017 here Does anyone has any information about this bug?Solved280KViews1like2CommentsCan no longer add People to a chat and include chat history in Microsoft Teams?
Used to be able to add additional people to a chat and get option to show chat history with add person icon at top of screen. Now, when press button you only get the option to start a brand new group chat and never given option to include chat history.. this was a VERY useful feature that seems to have been removed? Not sure if this on purpose or is this a bug?182KViews6likes39CommentsNew Feature: Schedule Microsoft Team Chat Messages
In this https://youtu.be/X1z192QON2c, I preview a new Microsoft Teams feature that was just added into the Microsoft Teams public preview program: https://youtu.be/X1z192QON2c. Note that prior to the addition of this out-of-the-box functionality, Microsoft did push out a interface to Power Automate that allowed you to schedule chat messages to be sent at a later time (this video has a call out to this tutorial if interested). It is expected that this feature will be generally available in the coming months. To use this functionality, simply navigate to the chat you want to send a scheduled message in and right click the send button. This will bring up a menu asking you to input the date-time. Some notable limitations as the time of recording this video: 1) you can only send a scheduled message to a recipient whom you have chatted with previously and 2) you can only schedule chat messages to be sent every half hour (i.e. you cannot input a custom time). What are your thoughts about Microsoft’s approach to scheduling chat messages?129KViews1like35CommentsWhy someone cannot see/chat after leaving the meeting?
Hi folks, My company has some vendors. I setup the Teams meetings with all of them. They all called in using their company domain emails. After the call ends, one of the vendor always got kicked out and it displays the message saying [Name] no longer has access to the chat. However, other users from other vendors still remain in the chat and can communicate. The settings from that vendor company is as attachment. And I confirmed they use their company email, not a personal email or join as Guest. Does anyone know what the issue is?Solved128KViews5likes32CommentsHow to find pictures/screenshots in a chat
HI All We use teams chat to share screenshots all the time, but it seems these shared screenshots are not saved in the file tab. It is very difficult to browse through the complete chat history to find them because I cant find a way to filter all the pictures, etc. Does anyone know the trick?
