Indirect Provider
43 TopicsUpdated MPA - Extended Term & Opt Out Explanation
Dear community, We are an Indirect Provider in CSP and we have been reviewing the updated version of the MPA that is available for review in Partner Center. As we were reading it, we saw a new clause. more specifically clause 8 (g) in page 43 that describes that and I quote "Extended Term for Expiring Subscriptions. If a Software Subscription or seat-based OLS Subscription is not renewed at the end of the subscription term, access to the applicable Software or OLS will continue following expiration for 30 days and may continue thereafter for successive one-month periods until cancelled (“Extended Term”). Microsoft reserves the right to invoice Company for the Extended Term at the then-current published price for a monthly subscription plus a three (3) percent uplift. If it does, Microsoft will provide Company with an opportunity to opt out of the Extended Term prior to the expiration date and request instead that the applicable Subscription either be renewed automatically or disabled immediately upon expiration. Company will have 90 days to extract Customer Data from a disabled account, but the Subscription cannot be reactivated." Following the above new clause, could please help us understand the following two questions: Does the "Extended Term" as described above include the 30 first days after the expiration of a subscription or not? Could you please enlighten us on the way that this "opt out opportunity" will be systematically implemented? How will we be able to utilize this opportunity for our partners/indirect resellers? Kindly asking for your significant help on these points as it is critical for our business decisions to avoid unforeseen costs for our partners. Thank you in advance, NickSolvedExplore Dynamics 365 Business Central Digital Event

Hope someone can share some insights on this, as Microsoft is publishing conflicting messages. Starting October, Microsoft will change the incentive requirements for partners. In the announcement it is stated that partners will earn incentives if they have 25 points in EACH solution area. Source: May 2025 announcements - Partner Center announcements | Microsoft Learn In other presentations published, it stated 25 points in a SPECIFIC solutions area. Source: Microsoft Commerce Incentive Resources Conflicting messages from Microsoft, so which is it? The nuance is a big difference for partners. I'd assume the latter is correct. Also note that the incentives will be split further between solution areas. And note the increased thresholds for Direct Bill partners. Cheers, MartijnSolvedNEW! I got triggered to ask my question due to this announcement: January 2024 announcements - Partner Center announcements | Microsoft Learn. So I got a hypothetical question regarding pricelists, price changes and deprecated SKUs. When we purchase a SKU now, which will being removed from the pricelist in the future (being deprecated), how can we verify new prices when price changes are applied? Example: - We purchase a M365 E3 (with Teams) SKU now. - This SKU is being removed from the price list from 1st of February as it's being deprecated. - And Microsoft applies a +5% price increase in September due to currency exchange rates (note; this is just hypothetical, no announcements were made to change the prices in September). - How can we verify the new purchase and ERP prices, if the SKU is not listed on the price list anymore? Of course we can calculate ourselves what a +5% price increase would look like, but how can we make sure what the real/specific prices would be? Hope anyone can give us some insights on it. Hi, I’m a distributor and noticed that there has been an update to the One-Page CSP Improvements Campaign – Authorizations One Pager. Previously, the document specified that a security score above 80 was required. However, I noticed that this requirement is no longer mentioned in the latest version I downloaded. Could you please confirm whether this criterion still applies, or if the only current prerequisites are as follows: Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) must be enabled for all administrative users in the CSP tenant. A security contact must be designated within Partner Center. Security alerts must be responded to within 24 hours or less (not applicable to indirect reseller partners) I would appreciate your clarification on this matter. Ref https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/partner-center/security/security-requirements i See On Update Partner Center Have New Tag Topic Mandatory requirements Or actually, just do this and it will pass the requirements section. New One Page Remark : When I click Details, I can't open the file at all Azure Information Protection Even though I signed in with an account Partner to view PDF, I can't open Give message Not Have Permission the file. Please help. Old One PageFY26 incentive payout change
Hope Microsoft can clarify this statement for the new FY26 incentives guides. As Microsoft will introduce an incentive payout change for partners that perform a change of channel (COCP). Does this mean, eg.; if a Direct Bill partner transitions towards becoming a Indirect Reseller, will they lose all incentives (as it's basically a COCP from Direct Bill to Distributor)? For how long are these incentives withhold? For both the Disti and the new Indirect Reseller? All customers? Other example; a Indirect Reseller transitioning from Disti x to Disti Y. Will they again lose all incentives? Both the Disti(s) and the Reseller? How long, all customers, etc.? Last example; a customer transitioning from Indirect Reseller / Direct Bill partner x to Indirect Reseller / Direct Bill partner y. Will the Indirect Reseller (and Disti(?)) / Direct Bill partner lose incentives of this customer? This would have massive impacts in the market and would render the CSP Transfer Request basically capability obsolete, as no Direct Bill or Indirect Reseller would ever change COCP anymore due to loosing incentives. Cheers, MartijnSolvedPartner Center Sandbox
I'm seeking guidance on how to get access to a new Partner Center Indirect Reseller Sandbox. I've spoken to my Indirect Provider contact, who referred me to Microsoft. However, my contacts at Microsoft are also unclear about the process. Could anyone share the detailed steps or process for gaining access? I've checked learn.microsoft, but the articles I found are a bit high-level. Thank you in advance for your help!Solved
