Caller ID
10 TopicsNew to teams: Are multiple outgoing sales lines possible?
Hey everyone! I am the sys admin of my small law firm, and we officially switch to Teams and Microsoft as a phone provider on September 15th. Currently we use 3cx as our PBX and Callcentric as our provider. Most everything is already set up, and waiting for the port. I already have a reception and incoming sales queue set up with a main auto attendant, basically cloning what we have now. We are noticing that our main phone line is being marked as spam when we call out, likely due to it being our main line and our sales dept is going gangbusters. It was suggested we buy multiple sales lines and switch the number our salesperson is dialing from every so often. What I am wondering is: If we purchase a handful of these numbers, is there an easy way to switch what the outgoing number of our salesperson/sales team/sales queue is showing on outgoing calls and is there a way to have incoming calls from each of those numbers funnel into our incoming sales queue, which is often populated with at least two people? For reference, we will no longer be using 3cx after the 15th so everything is under MS's roof. I also asked copilot hoping it would have some insight, but Im not entirely sure if it understood my situation. Any help is appreciated.18Views0likes0CommentsUnable to Call Using Call Attendant Caller ID
I have a Call Attendant and Call Queue. Both are linked to resource accounts that are licensed with a Microsoft Teams Phone Resource Account. In the queue, I have set up that agents can make outbound calls with the attendant's caller ID. When I try this in Teams, I get an announcement that I am not set up to use this calling feature. I'm not sure what I am missing for it to work.3.4KViews0likes13CommentsSelect a "Caller ID" as "outbound Caller ID" from Call Queue and Auto Attendants
My PSTN connectivity is using "Direct routing" instead of "Calling Plan". and I saw the following document and it stated "Agents can select which outbound caller ID number to use with each outbound call they make". https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/create-a-phone-system-call-queue Also, it mentioned in the following discussion: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams/teams-call-queue-agent-outbound-number/m-p/2037035#M80835 However, when I make same procedure for Auto Attendant, it failed. Is it only applied to "Call Queue" ? Not for "Auto Attendant"?15KViews0likes3CommentsPOLICY ID CALLER
We switched to Teams Phone Calling Plan and migrated our phone numbers from the previous phone carrier. We are trying to set the company number that we have migrated for the outgoing calls of each user but, despite the various tests and policy, the phone calls go out only with the numbers of each user. The only policy that seems to work is the one set to anonymous. Has anyone had the same problem? Do you know if there is a bug or if there are limitations for Italy?1.8KViews0likes3CommentsTeams Toast Notification Showing "Unkown Users" When the Call Comes from Auto Attendant
We are running in problem where if I assign a direct number to the teams user and call that number the Caller ID of the caller is displayed in Teams Toast notification. But if we route the call via Auto Attendant and then to a call queue like: PSTN>SBC>Auto Attendant>Call Queue and put the same user in the queue, (who was called Earlier) then the Caller ID of the same caller is shown as "Unknown Users". We are using the setup with Direct Routing and Ribbon SBC 1000. Secondly, If we direct the same caller to a "Person in Organization" and direct all the incoming calls to the same user (Might be an operator) then again the called ID of the caller is "RECEVIED" properly. But whenenver the call enters a call queue, the caller ID turns into "Unknown Users". The incoming call format is already in E.164 Format. We have cleared the cache of the Teams Application, enabled/disabled the Caller ID policies. Even changing the caller ID policies does not have any affect on the incoming call. The version of the Teams App is "1.5.00.17656 (64-bit)". Any Suggestions?Solved4.6KViews0likes6CommentsHow to Assign a "Caller ID Policy" via "group policy assignment" to a security Group
Hi everyone, I have been trying to figure out how to assign a "Caller ID policy" to a security group via group assignment. During the Group Policy assignment it only gives me the option of allow or block calling. (See Screenshot below) I have been seeing some screenshots that custom caller ID policies are also possible to be assigned... Any ideas? The Security group (Teams-SG-CallerID-Policies) should not be an issue since it can be selected as in the picture. Any way that I can kinda allow custom policies to be selected? I have also tried using the following cmd: New-CsGroupPolicyAssignment but it doesnt contain the Type: "Caller ID Policy":4.5KViews0likes2CommentsCaller ID as Queue
Hello All, I know it's possible to set the Caller ID of people using a "Calling Line Identity", however there seems to be a couple of limitations. - Doesn't allow you to define your own number (direct routing) - Must be a Microsoft Service Number, or the users' number Does anybody know of a way to mask a person's (or group of people's) phone number with the call queue number (the number assigned to the resource account)? This shouldn't be limited to just PSTN calls, but all calls. Similar to the way a user can make a call on behalf of somebody else when they are a delegate. ThanksSolved8.3KViews0likes3CommentsDirect Routing - Option to dial out with Auto Attendant Caller ID
Can you have to option to dial out from the auto attendant number when needed? Is there a way to delegate this number to users? I have numbers coming in to the auto attendant which allows me to play a greeting and use the out of hours options, then the call is passed to a queue (the queue uses a team rather than individual users). If I assign the number directly to the queue (and not use the auto attendant), I do have the option to dial from the queue number (using the dial pad within the Team). I am looking for similar when using the auto attendant so that the users can dial from their direct dial and auto attendant numbers when required.Solved4.1KViews0likes2CommentsTeams Phone System - Remove Country Code?
Hi, We use the Teams system with direct routing from Gamma. I can't figure out on how to amend the Caller ID. Whenever someone calls one of the teams numbers, the number comes through with the country code of '+44'. I could call the number from landline or mobile and it comes through as +44. We need it to show '0' rather than '+44'. Reason behind this is because all of our numbers in AD are added in the '0' format rather than the '+44' format. Teams only adds the full name if the number matches exactly in AD. For my name to appear when dialling my colleague above I need to change my number to +44 in AD. Has anyone else come across this issue? I have logged with Microsoft support and awaiting to hear back. I have tried Dial Plans and Caller ID policies with no luck.Solved28KViews1like4Comments
