Hyper-V Cluster issues
I had Windows Admin Center set up and working fine with a 2 node Server 2019 Hyper-V cluster, then back in July I upgraded the hosts to 2022 and had issues. I've had another go at getting this working but come stuck again. I've tried re-installing Windows Admin Center on a fresh 2022 host but it made no difference. The issue: Dashboard shows 0 of 100% for the CPU usage (NaN% total) for the cluster, and for the memory usage just shows "of 0 B". If I go into the "Virtual machines" page there are no results, but if I go into the VM summary page it shows me the graphs with total VMs, VM status, CPU, RAM etc fine. I am able to create a VM from the Virtual Machines page (confirmed by checking Failover Cluster Manager snap-in), but the list of VMs remains empty. If I go into the Roles page, I can see all the VMs. If I go into the Servers page, then Inventory, I see both hosts but uptime shows as 0 minutes, CPU usage "unknown" and Memory usage "unknown". Spent most of the day trying to find anything useful online to no avail. It can obviously communicate with the cluster as it's able to create a VM, and see all the disk details, network traffic, and some of the host CPU/Memory details. Both hosts running 2022 Datacenter on the latest updates.17Views0likes0CommentsCannot use WAC with WinRM over HTTPS
Hi, For any reason I cannot use WAC with WinRM over HTTPS. Certificates are created and installed. I can confirm that this work with: Enter-PSession FQDN.domain.com -UseSSL **WinRM HTTP listeners are removed from remote computer Then, when adding the server to WAC, always fails to connect with this configuration. I can connect servers to WAC again by setting winrm again with HTTP, but this is not what i want. More info: - WAC Custom Install choosing "WinRM over HTTPS" - Changed -UseHTTPS variable to $True on C:\ProgramFiles\WindowsAdminCenter\PowerShellModules\Microsoft.WindowsAdminCenter-ManagementTools - WAC build 2311 Any idea about what i's missing? I'm pretty weak with Domains but doing pretty good except for an issue that just popped up on me. I setup roaming or redirected profiles with GPO and included the "appdata(roaming)" folder and just had first issue with an installation. I was trying to install Zoom client and it fails. I had previously tried to install another app that is web related. It appears that I have a permissions issue writing to whereever these installers need. I am having a horrible time trying to open up permissions or determine what I really need to do. I have even assigned the domain user with domain admin rights with no luck. I have been able to install most other items without issue. Things like MS Office, printer software, and so on.mark1640Oct 30, 2024Copper Contributor60Views0likes0CommentsStorage Migration Service doesn't appear
Hello, I am intern and I have a small internship project. I tried to install the Storage migration service. Everything seems to be well installed. But I do not see the service between storage and storage replica. I read this on the microsoft website: Storage Migration Service doesn't show up in Windows Admin Center unless managing Windows Server 2019 When using the 1809 version of Windows Admin Center to manage a Windows Server 2019 orchestrator, you don't see the tool option for Storage Migration Service. The the Windows Admin Center Storage Migration Service extension is version-bound to only manage WIndows Server 2019 version 1809 or later operating systems. If you use it to manage older Windows Server operating systems or insider previews, the tool will not appear. This behavior is by design. To resolve, use or upgrade to Windows Server 2019 build 1809 or later. The problem is that my server is already in 1809. Has anyone had this problem? Is there a solution? Thank you :)Justine8Oct 24, 2024Copper Contributor14KViews0likes14CommentsWorkstations stopped sending reports to WSUS
A month ago, domain WU-clients stopped sending reports to the WSUS server. However, the search/receipt of updates by clients is performed normally (both manually and scheduled). So,if an update is approved on WSUS, it is installed on the workstation. Re-registering the WU-client (cleaning "SoftwareDistribution" folder and "WindowsUpdate" registry branch) didn't help. The problem is only with workstations (MS Windows 10), servers continue to send reports regularly.SergTheGreatOct 23, 2024Copper Contributor87Views0likes0CommentsHow to wirte command to update the ImagePath REG_EXPAND_SZ type key ?
