Contacts were synced over but all the emails have been change to /o=exchangelabs/ou=exchange administrative group (fydibohf23spdlt)/cn=recipients/cn= does anyone know why this has happened? we currently are using Microsoft admin center to create our email accounts until our server room is complete so we cannot add any script commands to resolve this problemMilanVuleticSep 23, 2020Copper Contributor137KViews2likes12CommentsHow do I create a new certificate for Windows Admin Center??
I just now observed that our internal WAC certificate was only two months old and it's already expired. Can I simply create and use our own self-signed certificate and use it?? Do I install it like normal certificates within the Certificates MMC and WAC will automagically use it?? I am struggling with the directions for configuring Single Sign-On for Windows Admin Center. I installed WAC on a Windows Server 2016 server (with desktop experience). The server name is "wac01". I am trying to connect to WAC from my desktop (which is named "desk01"). I open Microsoft Edge, and type in the URL to WAC on "wac01". That URL is https://wac01/. I get prompted to sign-in. What I want to happen is that WAC doesn't prompt me to sign in, and instead passes my AD credentials to WAC seamlessly. The instructions say the following... If you're going to use WAC on Windows Server, you need to set up some form of Kerberos delegation in your environment. The delegation configures the gateway computer as trusted to delegate to the target node. What is the "gateway computer" in this case? Is it the server that I have installed WAC on (wac01)? What is the "target node" in this case? is it my desktop (desk01)? Thanks in advance!DeletedMay 30, 201874KViews0likes12CommentsWindows Admin Center: Revert "Use WinRM over HTTPS only" setting
We just upgraded our Windows Admin Center install and I accidentally checked the "Use WinRM over HTTPS only" setting during the update / prior to configuring our hosts for that feature. We want to use this, but need more time to troubleshoot roll-out. Is there a line command or anything that will allow me to undo that setting? I know if I run setup again I can (for example) change SSL thumbprint, but that setting to "Use WinRM over HTTPS only" is not available in setup again for toggling. Thanks!SolvedtbworkAug 12, 2020Copper Contributor48KViews3likes9CommentsCluster Update asking to enable CredSSP
I installed Windows Admin Center, its great and working fine, but one of the things it advises me to do is to turn off CredSSP on servers, but when I use the Updates link on cluster page, it tells me that it needs to turn on CredSSP, is this a must? Or there is another way?Konstantinos N. ChionasOct 15, 2018Copper Contributor44KViews3likes42CommentsWindows Admin Center 1809 Generally Available!

Greetings, 2 days ago I installed WAC on my desktop Win 10 (1909). I was using Edge and added just a couple servers to monitor while I test this product. This morning I fired it up in Edge and right after I see the short list of Servers followed with the following error: Please advise ThanksImNotBobMar 31, 2021Copper Contributor38KViews1like23CommentsThe client cannot connect to the destination specified in the request.
Hey guys, I have several Windows Server from 2012 R2 to 2019 trying to get added into my feshly installed WAC on a dedicated 2019 machine. All of them can't get added easaly and come up with: 1. adding a machine: Chrome browser on Server 2016 (file server) within Admin context: Credentials needed Access was denied to 'Server'. You can still add it to your connections list, but you will need to provide administrator credentials to connect to the server. use another account results in: You can add this server to your list of connections, but we can't confirm it's available. 2. connecting ends in: Connecting to remote server woot.local failed with the following error message : The client cannot connect to the destination specified in the request. Verify that the service on the destination is running and is accepting requests. Consult the logs and documentation for the WS-Management service running on the destination, most commonly IIS or WinRM. If the destination is the WinRM service, run the following command on the destination to analyze and configure the WinRM service: "winrm quickconfig". For more information, see the about_Remote_Troubleshooting Help topic. All machine are running with server manager and whatsnot for years now including ps remote. I can manage them, enter-pssession into them, winrm quickconfig all day long but WAC can't do anything. I'm using WindowsAdminCenter1910.2.msi and tried it with a Server 2019 first and an older 2016 fileserver as well, going through the official https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/manage/windows-admin-center/deploy/prepare-environment doc. I'm not sure what I'm dealing with. My accounts are nested within the admin group and I can manage the machines for years now. From the look of it nothing indicates that i have a permission prble. I'm running out of ideas. 😞 Any hints appreciated.SolvedBogdan2105Jul 14, 2020Copper Contributor37KViews2likes4CommentsGroup Policy to allow specific users to install specific software without admin privileges
I am a newly system administrator for an organization and I am trying to create a Group Policy that will allow specific users to download and use certain software like LogMeIn123 without having to use admin privileges. We don't want to give full admin rights, but only for this specific instance. I have done some research, but I am not sure the best way to set this up. The problem is our IT team consists of 3 members total and cannot be everywhere at once and this would be beneficial in key times. I have seen some people recommend using a login script, but I am not sure how to do that. I have also seen some people recommend using a third-party tool which is out of the questions for our organization. I am also open to other ways and ideas of having preforming this. Can anyone please provide me with some instructions on how to set this up? Thanks in advance for your help! Additional information: I am using Windows Server 2012R2. I have a list of the specific users that I want to allow to install LogMeIn123. I have the LogMeIn123 installation file located on a network server.TurtleDeagonOct 23, 2023Copper Contributor31KViews0likes6Comments
